So please separate the mods of the two vehicles on the OP. I would love to hear your stupid *** list for the 5br0 as compared to the 5th gen.

I've got 94 octane here.

Canada is not the same across the country.

From page 235 of the 2016 Camaro owners manual:

If the vehicle has a 6.2L V8 engine, use premium unleaded gasoline meeting ASTM specification D4814 with a posted octane rating of 91 or higher. Regular unleaded gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher can be used, but acceleration and fuel economy will be reduced, and an audible knocking noise may be heard. If this occurs, use a gasoline rated at 91 octane or higher as soon as possible. Otherwise, the engine could be damaged.

My car was filled with 87 from the dealer. A mechanic over there didnt know he was losing 20hp with the 87oct stock tune. And he surely didnt know the fuse needed to be taken out to be back on the 91 stock tune if you switch back to 91. Never heard of anyone having some knock though. Mostly reduced power.

Pretty sure there is no possible knock on LS3 running on 87. But LT1, I dont know.

Since Alberta's economy is mainly from oil, I sure do expect it has some 94 everywhere.

Petro-Canada 94 is a blend of 91 and E85 and other additive that arent that great, which is not the best for some cars. Some say the Shell 91 is better in fact because there is no E85 mix and its a very good gaz with no additive to achieve 91oct. Some others 91 uses additive, which why they are not good.

Its the only option I have here, unless I want to drive 1.5 to 3 hour to fill this Petro-Can 94. No thank you!

I've seen 94 around here before but not for a while. It's usually expensive too.

Not max effort at all. ....i could see someone thinking that if they don't know much about cars.

Your 95 is likely a fluke due to spinning. Or your car back halfs like 21 mph.

I was 93/94 consistently all day with two passes at 95 with very minimal spinning. Just how an LBO car runs, bubba. All 60's were 1.85 and below.

Thinking about it depending on how hot and crowded it will be. Don't think I will run though.. I hate long lines in staging lanes, and I'm sure there will be long ones. Probably go to chill out and watch.
