That's with a GT350R though. The powers identical, but they do have less curb weight, but most significantly is the massive amount of rotational weight saved in the carbon fiber wheels (and stickier tires).

Pretty interesting article, nearly 60 lbs (sum of all 4 corners) of weight reduction by wheels alone.
That big of a difference would mean noticeably faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile time in the R's.
I actually bought a GT350 last week, pretty great car - hard to believe it's a Ford. An R would have been cool, but definitely out of my price range - the dealership I bought mine from had an R for $135k...

It is very common knowledge that the average 5th gen Camaro owner is less likely to race than a comparative Mustang owner.
