I just feel like I'd be choking those nice heads with a stock intake and small headers lol. Idk we will have to see how budget works out. We're talking about at least 3500 in parts.
I'm hoping they pick up some serious power. I want 450-460 rwhp with those breathing mods and another 20-30 with heads. I'd be ecstatic with 500 but also would be happy with anything almost.

I've really considered it but man, I'm an all motor guy. Nothing against others but something about winning all motor. And if I got it and didn't spray people would always accuse me of it lol

I hear ya man, and I can respect that. Me....I could care less how I make the power. If I can get an extra 100-150 hp for less than 1k I'm doing it weather it comes in a bottle or not lol

The LT1-S twin would be perfect for what you have. Its rated for 700WHP/TQ but it drives like a stock clutch.
Keep in mind the lighter you go with a clutch assembly, the more aggressive it will feel, when daily driving.
Feel free to give us a shout if you have any questions.(817-750-2000)

Idk....i drive a pretty light one. It's not unlike any other change you make to a car. Once you get used to it then it's normal. Honda clutches weigh 30lb or so stock. With a big v8 you should easily be able to go lighter.
There are quite a few companies making light clutches for fcars now.....you'll be wanting one 30lb or less.

You'll find a lighter twin disc also shifts a lot better at WOT.

So even if the weight is the same between the clutches, a smaller diameter will feel and act like a lighter clutch.

Indeed, also keep in mind that overall weight isn't the end all be all. For example the LT1-XX twins are 9.5" inches in diameter, where as the LS6 style is 12" inches in diameter.
So even if the weight is the same between the clutches, a smaller diameter will feel and act like a lighter clutch.

So tell me something guys. If I spend money to upgrade I want an upgrade. Power shifting this LS7 tore up my 3rd gear twice, albeit the others are fine I would like something smoother and easier to shift at WOT. I also want something that can handle the heat for road racing. I'll probably buy a clutch when I build my trans. My LS6 clutch let go at 6800 despite being pretty new. Didn't handle rpm, needless to say o was just relived this LS7 unit held lol
The combination of a small diameter clutch, with a full strapped and anchored floater-plate. Will give you smooth and easy shifts at high RPM.
The LS7 is a 12" inch diameter clutch, with a notoriously weak self adjusting setup, it will often cause issues.
