Thumbs up killed a lighting & death by STI

Well last night I was coming home and I see a lighting. I waved him over and asked if he wanted to run them on the highway. He said sure, so we ran them from a roll like 10 times and everytime I beat him. We ran from a dig twice on the feeder road I got dusted one time because I spun really bad. The second time I took him by a couple cars. That blower sound awsome . Later that night I ran STI pushing 17lb of boost and got my *** drug hard. I had no idea those cars were that fast. Think I could take a stock one no problem, but this guy had a boost controller and full exhaust.

Did you race the STi from a dig or from a roll? Oh and Nice Kill by the way.

Good Lightning kill! If you had traction problems from a dig, though, I completely understand the STI death. Esp. if he had some upgrades. Those things aren't too impressive from a roll, but hell on wheels from a stop.

Nice kills and death, you've got to mod more! Can't let Sti's go around beating ya.

Hey Matt, thanks for the message regarding the post.
To you'r defense, I had a few more mods than you listed. Front mount intercooler, jet coated headers, Intake, larger injectors/pump, and a U-tec(with a road tune, need to have it dyno tuned).
I was very impressed by the power of your LS1. I've only driven my buddys LT1, and a C5 vette. Your car fealt a lot faster than both, and had power everywhere.... I assume it's the cam, but on the LT1 the power is strong down low and seems to flatten out at the upper RPM's.
You would no doubt kill a stock STI, as my buddys slightly modded LT1(6spd) was neck and neck with me on a high gear roll on the highway(I was stock). From a stop it was a totally diff. story.
Oh, and we raced from a 30mph roll each time...
Take it easy
Chris

I think it's time for a 408 with boost. That will be my next motor. HPE has a good deal I beleive for the 408 iron block. Yea Chris, your car rocked! It was alot of fun.

The lighting said he had a 4lb. blower pully added. Does that means the pullly increased boost over 4lbs. over stock?
