I can't say it's a disappointment. It's a way way better car than the s197. Neither are as good as a 5gen.

The race vids here prove it is a drivers race only in acceleration.

The mag tests prove the 5gen is better by accurately measuring all aspects of performance.

I like both the 5g and the 5.bro, 5g is a hair behind in acceleration, 1le option can be right there with it. Not a "747 gap" like some would say

No it doesnt, 1LE option does nothing acceleration wise... It does crush in the handling doe.

Hence why the 1LE bitch slapped the Boss LS.

Are you reading this on a GM site? Most if not all reviews pick the Boss are the winner. Did some guy crack off some miracle lap time? possibly, but you must be crazy to think the 1LE "crushes" a LS around a track.

And who cares for track times? How many people here run around a track?

So a test by GM at a GM proving grounds states that the 1LE is ahead of the Boss by 2 tenths of a second? Just making sure I read the picture correctly since Im not a road course guy.

It's tight. Can go either way......but the best 5gen is just the better car.
Really?? We know the factory modded track pak cars can't keep up.

Regarding the 2 underlined comments....

1. Feel free to point out which race I lost. Closest race was won by me by 1/2 length. Ill be waiting for your excuses.

2. That 2.58 lap time was done by a Camaro engineer, driving a camaro with a race seat and a full roll cage. Therefore.......Invalid. Independent tests showing the 1LE "crushing" the LS is what Im looking for. So far independent tests have the laguna seca as a winner with GM saying the 1LE is 2 tenths faster on their own track tested by them.
