Stock LS1 still hurting feelings in 2016
For some reason I got a lot of action past couple days just driving home from work. First was this widebody/stanced BRZ that was weaving in and out of traffic behind me. As soon as he sees me he pulls along side I manage to get him to slow down to 40 until we get some space ahead of us. I had my tops off and could definitely hear a BOV. He honks it off and he must not have been brake boosting because I'm a car ahead by the top of 2nd, by the time we let off around 110 I'm 4 cars out. He flies by and seemed like he didn't want to play anymore. Gave him a thumbs up anyway as no one ever races me (all old people in Corvettes around here)
Second race was later that night against a third gen Audi A6. We were messing with each other until we caught a light. He tells me it's tuned and making 400hp, I have no idea if that's bs or not. Light goes green and we take off dead even. By the top of 1st I'm half a car ahead, shift into 2nd and pull another car. He let off around 100 where I was about 2.5 cars ahead then turns off no wave or nothing.
My engine mods:
- Lid
- Ram air mod
- catback
- Frost tune
- everythine else stock
I made 333whp/353tq before the frost tune.
I'm pretty happy with those results given that my car's designed for turning and not drag racing

Yea ls series engines changed the game for sure. You don't see anyone 5.0 swapping a damn camaro that's for sure
probably more ls series engine's powering mustangs on the track and road now a days.
I do tip my hat to ford on the coyote motor .

And yes I know the BRZ is a turd from the factory. This one was boosted and still a turd. Or maybe it was the 20 degrees of camber on his rear wheels that didn't allow him to hook

Yeah, I've taken a lot of cars out that I didn't think I could with just an airlid and catback. I've also taken a lot of cars that I KNEW I WOULD, and have absolutely no idea why they wanted to race. (The ones that just wanted to have fun would give me a thumbs up and talk about my car after. The ones that literally thought their 115FWHP hatchback had a chance end up cursing me out in Spanish or doing the "ricer fly by" after I'm off the gas for 10 or so seconds because I made my point 10 car lengths ago.)
