Default I just got passed by a Ford Fiesta

In a 1998 WS6 Trans Am (mostly stock, just some bolt-ons.) It was a really bad roll (I don't like making excuses, I accept my loss... but I was at that 50-60MPH range where WOT barely felt different from half throttle.) I looked at him like WTF? and he said he has a turbo on it, he wanted a sleeper "that no one would expect" (which... is the definition of sleeper.) I gave him a thumbs up and told him it was sick, and we went on our way.

My car's feelings are hurt though. A ******* Fiesta, really? Ouch. I'm about to take out a mortgage and start buying more car parts.

Isn't there like a factory hopped up one, maybe SVT?

I saw a RS Focus a few months back and they are supposed to be nasty.

lol, that would hurt the ego but it's nice that you weren't one of those guys that just ignored him after he pulled on you. Good sport.

A humbling death for sure.

Reminds me of my 97 Ws6 in high school against a tune only n54 BMW 335 Those were humiliating times.

If it was a Fiesta ST, you gotta watch out! They are super light, and are factory turbo'd. A few simple parts and tune you have a complete sleeper...as we all now know.

Most state of Iowa cars I see driving around are the new Chrysler 200s and the Focus. I'm sure he state would love all of the DCT Focus issues.

My wife has a Fiesta (N/A) and I love it, it's a cute little car, but I could never even pass a V6 90's Mustang in that thing. The power difference between that and my Trans Am is astronomical... so the sight of one flying by my mirror was surreal and horrifying, and completely unexpected. I didn't know a blower could cause that much of a difference, on that little i4FWD car. I do feel I could have taken it from a better roll, (he came flying out of nowhere, and when I realized he was WOT, I opened WOT when I was already in 3rd or 4th gear A4 @ 60MPH, and my car barely changed acceleration rate at all and he just kept going. I've been able to make this car go terrifyingly fast from 40-90MPH when it hooks up right, as I'm sure all of you guys know as F-body pros. This was NOT one of those times), but I wasn't given the opportunity so I have to let my armchair race ideas remain in check and accept my loss like a man.

What type of bolt ons do you have on your Trans Am? Any pics or track runs with it?

Just an airlid and a Borla catback dumped before the muffler (I'm going to re-attach it when I get a cut out.) Haven't taken her to the track yet, just like playing with the locals. I actually put buslengths on a SRT-8 Magnum multiple times, which I guess was from the serious weight difference, considering I'm nowhere near 400RWHP yet. I expected to lose to the SRT-8 and win against the Fiesta. Both were surprising results to me. lol

Here's picture:

I plan on getting Longtubes, (deleting the cats), a tune, and finally a FAST air-intake manifold 90mm (and... a tune again.) I don't think I'm going to mess with cams and F.I. (although, if I start running into more money, you never know.)

Beautiful car man. Reminds me of the 99 Black WS6 I was looking at before I regretfully settled for the cheaper 97 WS6 in my high school days.

Be sure to hit up the ws6store when you're ready for some mods
