Too close to call. very close races. Im calling it a draw.

Someone on Camaro 6 also just went 11.1@127 with an auto zl1 a10 with upgraded street tires in the rear.

And a friendly reminder to all the manual roll race arguments of the past. I was right you were wrong. The zl1 m6 got walked by this hellcat. By these same testers at the same damn place.

The new autos are faster than the manuals in every way. It has been obvious all along looking at the trap speeds but people still want to argue.

Damn those are some good races. It almost looked like the zl1 started to pull in the last gear each time but I'm not sure. Basically a draw for sure. That hellcat has so much torque!!!

I agree...it looked like the zl1 started a small pull at the end every time.

It looked like the hc may have jumped too on some of them.

either way yeah...its about as close as it gets.

Cant say im surprised...they have nearly the exact same power to weight ratio and both aggressively geared autos.

Great race. I also argued the A10 would pull the manual.
Won't be long before they go 10's on tires with good air. Anyone know the fastest HC(tire only)?


PS, anyone else wish they would have had a 3 way race with Ford's flagship car aka the GT350R?

Yes they have the trap for 10s with a tire. the 11.1 run was only a 1.8 60ft with nitto street tires.

I watched a hc blow past me to a 10.88@128 last year tire only.

10.6-10.7 is the claimed fastest tire only time IIRC. A couple guys went faster a few years back but they were found to be cheating. one had a small shot the other had a race fuel and tune.

It did.. I said it long ago the new ZL1 with the 10 speed auto are gonna be a force to be reckoned with once modded.. Wait til someone throws pullies, H/C package and a fuel system on that 10 speed auto... The ZL1 will be the new V2 in hotrod world. Underated and impressive.. The V3s and Z06s haven't had my respect at all to be honest.. the fast shifting 10 speed will be a good trans tuners secret weapon...

Maybe, but the weight could offset that also. probably come down to which could hook better like it always does when the power creeps up towards 1,000 crank hp.

I mean the 13 & newer Shelbys were beast. Not that I don't like the gt350 but they are just out-gunned in every aspect.
