Damn Lightnings!
This weekend, I raced a Lightning in my 02 Firehawk. It wasn't very pretty. We ran two runs and the first one, he spanked the hell outta me. He beat me by about 4 cars. He had on some slicks, so I kinda figured he would launch all over me. Second run, he got me by about 2 cars. I ended up getting next to him when we finnished and asked him if his truck was even stock. He said "maybe a lil bit." Turns out he had a different pully and some other crap in it. So I'm planning on meeting up with him again out there and he better believe that I'm gonna have a lil spray for him. Wish me luch

Well he told me that it was running 12's at the track. I didn't even ask if it was low, mids, or high 12's. I'm assuming high 12's considering he only beat me by about 2 cars the second race. And my car's completely stock. For now

I respectively disagree that mid twelves are in order for that vehicle described (anti-light-ing). A lot of weight to move around. Not to take anything away from the motor and power it makes, just don't want to believe a f-ing pickup truck would beat me that bad at the strip or streets.
care to see what these big *** trucks can do???
there is already a 9 sec streetable Lightning running around in that area. as for mine it doess fine on the street clocking high elevens. not to shabby for my daily beater work truck.

I've seen them run high 12's at the track with pulley. The L described above had slicks on, so, I imagine it was hooking damn well.

. What cracked me up too is that some guy asked me if I wanted one of his buddies to race my car for me against the Lightning after I lost the first time against the Lightning.

Good death to the poster. Ls are pretty easy to get into the mid12s on tires. Sweet trucks IMO.
