Great vid and badass cars. That procharged 5.0 though Jesus Christ. I'd love to run the r8 and that 5.0when I get my car back. I see they are in my neck of the woods too. Don't know what was up with the gt100, those are usually some quick *** **** rides.

I wouldn't own an R8, but I think they're cool cars. They look futuristic like a concept car.

Seems like the vortech car is slow? Those V10 cars arent exactly missiles:

Zero to 60 mph: 3.7 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 8.2 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.8 sec @ 121 mph

I would think that vortech car on E85 would make 700whp and trap 135+? My car with stock headers and pump gas trapped 132..

A 14+mph gap should have looked a lot worse in my opinion.

Crazy thing about the v10 r8 is you can add 100 hp just from bolt ons and tune

I'm actually weird and prefer the R8 over the Lambo cousins.

Those other cars being filmed were not all that impressive. The v10 r8 cars aren't exactly as fast as one would expect

While I would agree thats roughly what an average driver would so...

Plenty of people and mags have hit 60 in 3.4 and the quarter in 11.4 at 124 mph

Mine is a slw 420 hp V8

But Ive read plenty that says 12.5 at 113 with 0 to 60 in 4.0

Honestly my car feels pretty quick for being the slowest exotic in existence lol

I would much rather own your car than my car all day, even if it is slower. You have the cool factor and rare factor won 10 fold. I rarely ever see any r8s around here.

R8 vs 5.0 races looked about right to me. Only race the R8 didn't get stomped he had a huge hit advantage. 1st race almost looked like 5.0 didn't downshift on his own before the hit so it took a minute for the freight train to come. 3rd race would have been really bad but the 5.0 let off and the R8 stayed in it for the flyby.

GT500 was a very mild bolt on 2011. Not really that surprising that it got worked by the automagic.
