Default Old vs New

So after months of instigating, my brother and I were leaving a car show at the same time and had the opportunity to have a little fun. He's got a 75 Firebird. Pontiac 434 stroker, Edelbrock heads, all the goodies, going through a Super T-10 4-speed and 3.73 gears. His combination is supposed to make around 500hp but his car hasn't been dynoed. My car is a 99 WS6. Ls6 intake, headers, ORY... Y'all know the usual. Should be at around 360-370 to the wheels. Anyway, we both nail it in third at about 45mph and I have to say, he was pulling on me until his carburetor ran out of gas. We've decided he needs a better fuel pump. Technically I guess I won, but I'm not a punk like that. I was getting drug... LoL. Fun times with family.

Yeah we always help each other with our cars. He's been rebuilding his for nearly 5 years, and I've had mine for 2. He hates everything about working on the 4th gen, but we still get it done. LoL

Thanks. It's cool driving to shows together. We just need to find some cool people around here with a nice 1st and 3rd gen so we can have the whole set. LoL

old pochos with the right parts make a lot of power, even by today's standards.

Yes Sir. One of the most underrated and underappreciated engines ever. I've always been an old-school Pontiac fan until I got my WS6. I still cringe when I see a Pontiac with a Chevy or LS swap done.

almost got a 68 firebird with a 400 but decided to get an 02 ws6 instead, part of me regrets the other part doesn't so much. had a spot of bondo on the rear quarter that scared me off. very cool cars the older muscles are.
