Default 370z vs LS1 z28 *UPDATE raced his mustang

unfortunately no vids
ran a friend in his 2009 370z with just catback and intake through a 6-speed
my 01 z28 is fbo and tune through A4. both on street tires

ran twice from a roll 50mph on 1st race and 40mph on the 2nd. an up to ~110-115mph.

he honked off and we both got on it equally. we were even for a couple seconds but then I started to pull on him steadily. by around 95mph shifting from 2nd to 3rd I was about 1.5 cars ahead and by 110 by 2 cars. we both didn't have any passengers and he had half a tank of gas to my 1/4 tank of gas. had thought it'd be an even race or him edging me due to him being lighter but turns out they weigh a couple hundred less than an fbody. buddy weighs prolly around 210lb and im at 180lb.

I noticed around the 2-3 upshift I got a max of 3* of KR with AFR of 12.2-12.3? running poly motor mounts fwiw. also running around 26-27* of timing.

FTRA intake, SLP 1-3/4 headers to 3" e-cutout and stock muffler square tips

forgot to point out, 1st race I ran with cutout open and 2nd race with it closed but we didn't really see a difference in car gaps in both races if the cutout was effective or not. only way to tell is when I take it to the track.

Good kill as expected. FYI, you are miles away from being FBO by the way, you're very LBO (light bolt-ons).

^ this.

Which actually makes the kill even better. I can bet if you were running a T56 the gap would have been more. A 40 roll is not the most optimal for the A4. Assuming you have 3.23 gears a good roll would be from 60 or so. That would put you right in the powerband with the mods you have.

Op is more than lbo, engine swap, cam and bolt ons = lbo?

Pay attention MACster. '01 Z28 A4 with "FTRA intake, SLP 1-3/4 headers to 3" e-cutout and stock muffler square tips" = very mild bolt-ons.
You're looking at the wrong car, '98 Firebird.

^correct. I think MAC misread my sig with the firebird which was sold years ago (retired). true im more on the LBO considering higher stall, suspension and other stuff is put into account. im on 2.73 gears and will most likely run that til the 10 bolt grenades itself but it hasn't yet thankfully *knock on wood*.

heres my run from a year ago when it only had lid and tune only

here was my bench racing post:
guesses on ls1 vs mustang gt w/96-98 cobra sb w/PI heads

not a great video by all means as again, I had no passenger and it would had been more dangerous trying to film with one hand and steer with the other. raced at a 40mph roll up to 110mph-ish. he spun a bit and I felt that I also spun and lost traction a bit but held the pedal steady around 75-80% til I felt that the tires gained traction and laid it full throttle.

aside from the motor swap, it has intake and exhaust (can't recall if it has headers or stock manifolds) but it was louder than my exhaut with the cutout open. only got one race in but he said I got him by a car and some. this time around his car had a 1/4 tank of gas to my half tank.

370zs are woefully slow for what they are.

thanks. the mustang ran a pb of 12.7@109 on slicks on 3.73s. got him by 1.5-2 cars, slightly less than against the 370z
