I am speaking of stock Vettes. He said the LS2 was stock right? LS3 wouldnt have made up the difference.

And I seem to remember winning the majority of the races with a LS3 5th gen... so yeah...

A bro gets .7 and 7 mph from a handheld 93 tune and a cai. catbacks done do nuffin. been discussed.

hmm...that's more than poppa got from e85 tune to full bolt ons and converter.

better call up diablo pops. you've been wasting your time.

The faster you go the more it takes to go faster. Weather also plays a factor. Trans tuning is huge from stock to tune only, power increase is also very good if you datalog for the tuner and nail down the timing on E85. From then on it's just the addition of power and traction.

In my previous 2 5.0's i raced plenty 5th gen. When i was fbo vs cammed ones i killed them. Then on my sc one i killed other sc 5th gens. Most averaging 70whp more then me.

I agree. I've noticed it with my car too for sure.

I just don't see a 5.0 with such minimal mods outrunning a proper ls3 c6. IMO they are actually a touch quicker than a 6g stock for stock. Now all of a sudden people are calling them slow. Whatever I guess

True statement. I ran a (no clue on mods) 5.0 s197 with at least exhaust in my bro's 08 C6 manual with hearers and corsa no tune. It was very nasty for him. There is a pretty big difference in a m6 ls3 c6 vs ls2 c6. A header, tune, exhaust C6 Ls3 manual will more than likely destroy a fbo bro.

I owned a base fbo 5.0 and a c6 with exhaust, cai, tune ls3 vette. And honestly it would be good run. Now once i did cam, fast, tb heads the vette would destroy a fbo 5.0 with out a lot of weight reduction.
