No it's just that they did not remove TM or do trans tuning. Big difference
The 10.8 car is near full weight stock converter no weight reduction. No headers.Just has good conditions on the east coast. He's also running a shorter tire. He's comparable to me in similar da.
You are talking about one auto s550 that's got me. Extensive weight reduction. Ftw purple. -1300 da. The list goes on. And it's not .7 it's .6. He ran a 10.49 in hero DA using race fuel. Stripped. Trans brake. It's a kitchen sink build compared to my minor bolt on car with stock converter in 70f weather. Give me a break lol are you kidding me
The average person doing bolt ons is going to run faster in a 6g.

The g6 has better tq. Hp wise they are even. The coyote spins more rpm when you can to gt350 or cj intake.
But in reality building a bolt on 5.0 is dumb when you can slap a blower on and make way more power for about the same price. I've built both already. Bokt on manual that made 480whp. Full weight ran 11.2@122 with no fourth gear because lost syncro. Then sc auto, stall, boss intake and x pipe, full rw of 4000lbs ran 10.3@134. Both in texas Sept weather. The sc 5.0 ran 9.94@137 in ga winter.
Now i have the s550. I'll be ordering a whipple soon and geaders. I know where to buy and not pay 1000 gor headers but only 699. And get blower for 6800 instead of 8200. I could get a paxton for 5400 but i want a whipple 2.9 this time.

They are good stock and that's it. Give me an LSx, then a coyote, then everything else, then an LT1.
