Coyote is a way better engine out of the box. A fiat 4.6 block can handle more power so that's good for the 4 people in the world that want to build a 1500 hp modular. And over 7200 rpm the 5.4 crank tends to want to tie itself into a knot

Yea i read that to. 5.4 crank gets unstable over 7k rpm. Seems to also break the snout off. Furd has a fix for that.

"Back in the day my furd buddies would have a hell of a time searching out decent oe heads and parts to build a furd sbf or bbf. This was before you could catalog build stuff. You coukd through almost any old sbc or bbc together and out performance the furd stuff. That's what really made me favor the chevy stuff so much. Imo trickflow and afr saved ford. With out them they would have little to no following"

False. Back then even Ford Motorsport had heads and even released aftermarket 2 and 4 valve stuff. So did World Porducts(Dart). So did Kaase and others including Canfield. In fact there were more mags devoted to Fox bodies than late Model F bombs,Corvette combined. Not to mention the aftermarket for the late model SBF was way bigger.

So yea.....the furd has to be built to compete. Thanks for playin

Yea....the mod stuff was junk for the most part

Even looking at the emc numbers thr ls crushed the furd modulars in the operating rage they would be in if they were racing. Same with the ls3 vs coyote
Agreed

On another note thanks for the recommendation we went to Shenandoah Caverns and drove by you, it was a 4 hr detour and we were running late so we couldn't stop. But that place was great, the kids said it was the best part of the trip. My wife and kids want to go back next year and go to Luray Caverns they have a car museum too I guess. We will make sure to swing by
