Default Foxbody put in work on me...

Last event of the yr for armdrop racing.I wanted to come out and add cool cars to my hit list but with the amount of cars that attended (550+) getting paired with decent competition was hard.I was having issues all day but when I did get lined up next to this Foxbody I knew it was a quick car.I fought traction issues...boost issues and missed a gear.

Nice work, what size tire are you on? Do you think the new rubber is better for rolls?
Can't win them all I guess

you seem to have everyone covered but traction is killing you. what gears? man you need tires.

I don't know how big a tire you can fit, but my memory is that those 3rd gens don't have a lot of tire space. id say screw it and let the tires poke out and get some huge one on it.

i'm partial to most any terbo. nice car.

....fresh 245/50/16 555R's are on it . And yea it needs a real tire.I know my car can mph easily. My car from roll races is quick.I got 3.42 gears..my boost does drop at higher rpm sadly with my small 3" exhaust setup choking things.

i use 295-50/15 in my turbo. we make similar power and I cant keep them hooked at 100mph.

you need a hell of a lot more tire. let them hang out of the fender. who cares eh? get the wins. **** the looks. you should have wrecked those cars IMO. boost dropping or not.

I know i can easily beat the stang and the guy that owns it didnt expect me to lose seeing my car running earlier in the day.We will grudge match next event for sure and this time Im just leaving boost set at 18lbs..drop some more air pressure.Ill have my suspension and half cage done.

You don't need a giant tire hanging out of your fenders. Jesus.

Lol no I dont, just a built diff and dial the suspension for better launch.I dont trust the stock diff to launch the car on any boost! So i have to play catch up while other guys leave harder from a dig..my *** is ***** footing the 60ft or more.

Looked like you were about to yank him until you missed 4th. I noticed on the all the runs, you shift light only would come on from the 1-2 shift, but not after... so are you short shifting or is the light set too high?

I short shift 3-4 most times when Im there because i know if i wind it right out for the full run..I wont have enough time to stop for the short shutdown..Many cars have been off into the grass there including myself.

No one really does in absolute stock form but those Foxes are arguably the best candidate for the easy button. I love a notch, even when it's 302 powered. Unlike most leaky vag type, blue oval ding ding riders, I give credit where it is due. I'd give a lot more to Ford if they had more **** worth a ****. I think the Ford boys should be doing more Coyote swaps in Foxes and whipping more ***.
