expensive? what is expensive? expensive is the cost relative to income.
to say that product X is expensive depends on relative income. the push to drive down wages is what makes product X expensive.
Henry Ford understood he had to pay his employees enough to be able to buy his vehicles.
that simple rule is lost and broken by every company in existence in america.
high wages and high employment drive inflation. suppressing wages and artificial price increases make things "EXPENSIVE".

My company pays me a very good wage with good benefits and is still one if not the most profitable utility in the US, record profits quarter after quarter and stock highest it’s ever been, but...union workers are selfish and lazy. Lol

Right to work should be illegal. Not only does it drive down wages, it's theft. People taking advantage of the union negotiated wages and benefits without paying for them.

lol, So true! Most unions are Subsidized by Federal and Local Gov't's. So, being in a labor union these days. Basically makes you a bureaucrat. And unions served a great purpose 50+ years ago. But in todays day n age, with all the rules and regs, large, small and medium biz's need to adhere to. They are no longer needed. Just a way for the club of guys at the top to continue there gravy train. And then feed the left wing politicians and bureaucrats. Who will then return the favor. It's all a revolving door of $$$. Union = Govt! and vise versa. I can go into alot of detail about this, but don't have the time. Nor do I want to start a Political debate in a car forum.

Here is a Great example of how the NY Gov't was failing on a simple job. Then a private citizen cam in, hired a private company. Spent a fraction of the cost. Then got the job done! I think we know who this guy is by now.
Another great example of how everything Gov't touches it destroys is, the USPS, The mail! They have been plagued by financial problems for over a decade now. They keep pumping in tax payer dollars to keep afloat. Now, the same type of companies in the private sector actually make alot of $$$. They are UPS and Fed Ex. Booming corps, high share prices, and run like any other Fortune 500 company. So, ask yourself, why is the United States Post Office broke and in shambles, and there competition is doing Great??? What does this have to do with unions??? Figure it out!

Yes, you jumped into a conversation about private sector unions ranting and raving about public sector unions, even while mentioning labor unions specifically, which are largely private sector.

Most labor unions don't pay their guys when they're laid off. They collect unemployment like every other laid off person. A million dollar job isn't even approaching what I would consider a big contract. I know plenty about how unions work, I'm a union member and a division manager for a union contractor. I deal with union all day, everyday.

union rules, regs and Laws do vary from state to state..
