Who came up with the paint scheme? Are those wheels staying on the car? Love it.

Thanks .....My uncle and i. Alot of guys paint the roof the same as the rear area. So we figured we would do it like this.

I pushed for those wheels for a good while. Finally convinced him lol. The great part is most will say that only a 8" wheel will fit on those cars. We have a 9.5 on this one thanks to getting the right offset and me cutting the flange on the quarter and putting a edge on it for strength.

I hate the street rod look like most do with 18/19 combos or even larger. That **** looks out of place in these cars to me.

Yes the wheels are sweet and balanced on it, very nice touch. These older cars need some decent sidewall and 17" wheel tops. Like you, they just don't look right with more wheel IMO.

I actually think the wheels on the car look out of place. Too modern. And they are the current wheel of the day it seems right now. I like them sized right for a drag setup, just think they look odd in a square setup for cornering. Imagine a set of 17x9.5 drag lites with low pro's all around. Weird.

That super old car I posted is allegedly THE oldest running car in the world. It does 38mph which is amazing and scary, before it runs out of steam. (See what I did there?) Worth around 2 million bucks and is actually still driven.

We had never seen a 17/15 combo on them. We were goin for a updated drag look tather than the street rod style. The 17s on the front should drive a bit better.....and clear the brakes a bit better.
