Default kill 98 cobra s/c

Heh. I ran a friend of mine's 98 cobra s/c with a votech s-trim intercooled. He is only running 6 psi. We raced from a 10 mph roll. I just got bfg kdw's so i gots a little traction, so we ran from 1 st gear till hmmm begining of 5 th. I jumped out 1 car from the roll then he sucked me in about 120 mph, lol. He claims that he started in 2 nd, if i recall **** stangs cant go to 1 st over a certain mph becuz of the gear lockout, so bs. That s/c has allot of pull in the top gears I guess from the boost really being solid. He says he should run 12.5's area but I dont know????Well I guess I got a freak!!

well where in h-town are you at so i can punch your buddy in the face...

even with those mods he should have more power then you, and also has a lighter car. Your buddy has a problem of not knowing how to drive.

but your car from the power you say it made is definately a freak. very good numbers. Do you have the graph from that pull?

Does the phrase "I gots a ..." bother anyone else? When did it become "cool" to talk like a moron?

Anyway -- yeah dude, if you have 340 rwhp with just those mods, I am quite jealous. That is really strong.

I can believe the hp part but someone is bsing. either he runs more like a 13.5 or he was playing w/ him. ls1s are strong but beating 12.5 in an almost stock car?

This guy is a buddy of mine. His name is Mike and I used to work with him.

He had some tuning issues with the Diablo, alot of knock in the upper rpm's. So I kept bugging him to get dyno tuned at MTI. Jayson at MTI did a hell of a tune. He just has a lid and cut-out and pulled those numbers, I was there. He has the most flat torque curve (or lack of curve) that I have ever seen.
If he can't get the dyno posted I will try and get it from him when he gets back from working off-shore and I'll post it up.

Mike is pretty new to the whole "message board" thing so his internet lingo may sound a little funny, but he's not getto or anything.

Mike did like a 12.7-12.8 with just a lid if I remember correctly. The boy can drive, I feel sorry for his tranny! lol

Peace,
Craig.

Good numbers and kill. That doesn't change the fact that I felt like I was reading a post by a dyslexic "non hooked on phonics" rapper. Tighten up on that typing man.

First lock-out, eh? Didn't know. I think it was on ls1.com I read a story of a guy racing an 03 on the highway or interstate. The 03 driver must have missed his gear and went down to 2nd or so at around 70. The other driver heard a loud BOOM, looked back and the 03's rearend had locked up and there was black smoke pouring from the exhaust. True or not, I feel for that guy....thats not cool when that happens to anyone!

Off topic, but seems odd to do serious damage to an engine by missing a gear and going into second at 70. Maybe at 100 LOL
