Whenever we both let out it was after I was smacking off limiter going into 3rd he had a fender on me then we both let off. I'm proud of my old girl lol. I wanna get radials first just to learn the car so I can leave it in overdrive and I think if I get a good start again it can be dead even either way. I paid 6500 for the car 6 years ago and yes it was my first real race and my mods are just bolt ons and gears while he had boss intake, cat back and street radials also, while I had down to wear bar sumitumos. I think I did ok. Now I have a taste of racing lol it was fun even though I lost.

good clean fun race. At least you man up and say you lost and not claim to have a 9 sec car and that you short shifted into 2nd gear on accident.

Why were you manually shifting it? You likely would have won if you hadn't done that. Have your shift points set at 6200 with the stock cam and leave it in drive lol. Get rid of all the torque management also. That helps quite a bit. Good race though. Coyotes aren't nearly as fast as furd guys think they are.

Lol. Please stop giving out racing tips Mr. ‘i short shifted to 2nd at 4k on accident’ ‘i started in 2nd gear on accident’. Youre not allowed to give racing tips until you beat a 2v proven on video lmao

Yea Im not afraid to say I lost. I just wanted to have a good start and not blow the tires off lol. I think even without hitting limiter it still would have been door to door close. I have mad respect for these new cars for sure any make. That mustang by the way sounds nasty and I would be proud to own it also. It's one of those I dont feel bad I can't go out and buy a newer car not that's a bad thing, I guess if I can not get too embarrassed by similarly modded newer stuff I feel its respectable power.

New ones are pretty damned quick. Test drove a 2018 and it ran harder than my bolt on M6 C5 vette.

Nice run 01WS6! Nice work on the getting off the line too. Just thinking what the outcome would have been if you were not banging off the limter.
Nice to see the LS1 still getting it done though.

I know if I wasn't trying so hard to not blow tires off and manually shifting I think it would've been even closer I just didnt want the stupid thing with my luck shifting to third from spinning lol o well. I think if I had radials I could leave it in overdrive and let it eat next time it'll be a good one next time lol.

why not leave it in 3rd and let the trans do the shifting? just feather the throttle so you're not doing a rolling burnout out of the hole.

After you hook you could of put it straight into 4th from there on out or bumper it up to the next gear whenever you wanted.

Is this car your daily driver? I was thinking you could just get yourself a set of NT555r next time you need tires. These would hold at least until you get a higher stall converter and more bolt-ons.
These tires are not as soft so you should get some good mileage out of them but at the same time, you would not have to worry about breaking the tires loose.
Just a thought.

Yea I've been looking at the NT05R would the 555s be ok. Yes this is my daily and I've been on the fence with the ss3600 too. Of course when funds allow, tires are of course my next purchase.

At your power level you should be able to hook pretty good with the 555r's. And you wouldn't have to worry about driving in rain at all with them. Ive driven mine in complete down pours at 70 mph and was fine.

Nothing great about spinning a Ms3 cam to 6200 with a anemic Ls6 intake, anemic 555r's and lame 2.73's

Of course it was fine for you... your power level is slower than a 2v motor
