It's a modular motor.

But they are very different. But if you think they're so much the same I'm sure that 5.4/5.8 crank won't have any problem goin in a coyote.....lol

If you can afford a LT4 car, the 6k fuel system upgrade to support 1500hp is pennies on the dollar...js

Pretty much all the lt/ls sbe stuff handles way more power than the furd stuff. All the old modular **** besides the dedicated boost motors woukd spill their guts at over 450whp. Even the dedicated boosted stuff didn't hold up great.

Well a 5.0 crank can be ran in a 4.6 as well as the rods. Also you won't see a 4.6 crank in a 5.4/5.8. Nice try though. Still a modular.

I hear your moms basement was the biggest. Who gets the bigger gap from a truck motor Camonlyturd or Hiohoderp.

No ****. 5.3 is also good for 1200 crank yet go boom making 600 wheel every week.

Most of those 5.3's that pop with 600whp are high mileage. That's the gamble you take when trying to makes high hp with a 500.00 junk yard motor. I guess that is why so many gamble running them. Me personally, I would tear it down and put a grand in it, then it would handle the 1200hp.

Both Ford, GM, and Mopar make good power. Guys will always stipulate the strong points of their brand to make them feel all warm and fuzzy. There is no denying LS is easy to work on and makes power for cheap. Modular makes more power with boost as it should. The engines are huge for their displacement due to the heads. Its a Much more complex engine.

i said lt. I didn't specify lt1. But yea it is to. They're just as strong as ls3 stuff and furd still don't have a answer for that.

Going to take more than a grand said and done. They are hit or miss regardless of mileage. I personally think ~550 is the reliable limit of a 100% SLB 5.3 with a turbo combo.

So 5.0 = 4.6 and 4.6 is a modular. Great logic.

Have you owned a boosted 5.3 with over 600hp?

El oh El. That must be why everyone goes with forged rotating assemblies on the camaro LT1s right around 700-750whp depending on how fluffy their dyno is.

Technically one could just regap the rings and the LT1 would hold 850-900whp. That is the only thing that separates the LS3 from the LT1 is that the ring gaps are tighter on the LT. However for 1k a set of drop-in pistons is a good investment while it's apart. Most don't really care play the SBE circle jerk argument on the forums.
