My point was i dint think an oe would puf it in a performance car if it wouldn’t hold of have the Longevity expected from a manufacturer. And as to poor high rpm shifting it sounds likd you’re slave was not shimmed out from the case properly. And as for “our” syncros going. Yes the factory paper ones found in f body t56’s will not hold up but runng carbon syncros = problem solved.
The same OE manufacturer that put the 10 bolt in an Fbody lol Come on now

You don't have a slave in your car. You do have a hydraulic release bearing tho. Factory one isn't that great....shimmed or not. I haven't ran a factory one since 08. We were shimming them since 01.....then we figured it was the pressure plate.

Carbon syncros will band aid it for a while as with that shim. But they still won't overcome a pressure plate that WILL give up.

what rpm you shifting at?

I believe it's a torsen with stock axles. I have always had luck with them in autos, but not sure a stick car could pull 1.57 without snapping it. As long as you dont dead hook at the track you will be fine for a while. I might break and get a 12 bolt if I can ever find a good deal on one. I just cant justify spending over 3k for a new one on a car that's maybe worth 10k lol.

When mine was on 17's it would spin from a 40 roll with a 315/35 Toyo TQ. From a dig it was useless...spun all the way out to the 330. I went to a drag pack with a 275/50/15 and traction was night and day.

And yes you would gain a bit from making your valve train lighter...turned down LS3 valves are a great option.

Yeah that makes sense. I think he was actually spinning a little in 3rd once or twice as well.

Just an update: Looks like Freakls6 can't make it out this weekend, so hopefully we can do it the next one. Hopefully we have a few weekends left before it snows lol
