2018 SRT Jeep vs LS1 Z28
So last night coming home from the pad in Mexico, I ran into a 2018 grand Cherokee SRT. sounded not stock. How not stock, not sure. I’ve got a 98 Z28 T56, all stock except SLP lid (paper filter) and flo pro muffler. Stock weight, plus me (300+) and my buddy (210). Slowed down for a 50 roll, in 2nd gear. I jumped him and put a good car length on him, once I hit 3rd he started pulling on me. By the time I hit 4th he was passing me up then let off. Is it me or should an LS1 fbody be walking SRT jeeps all day? Granted I had been driving over an hour averaging 80 mph and the road was slightly damp so it did break traction on each shift. But still? Is this normal in y’all opinion? The only codes I have are po153 for slow 02, inefficient bank 1 cat, and the air and egr codes because it’s deleted. Stock tune as well

I think those are low 13 second vehicles. I would think it should be a close race. Did they have a passenger that you could tell? If they weren't stock might have added some power in bolt ones like long tubes, tune, cai, ported TB, but the 392 platform is pretty difficult to add a lot more power n/a.

Thanks guys, since that night I’ve added a Magnaflow catback, new upstream Denso 02’s, and fresh diff oil. Might have to catch that SRT again and give him one more go with a light load!
