Well.....that could depend. I figured some weights on that subject once and it surprised me how close they were. Depending on clutch/converter weight it can go either way. I know alot of attention has been paid to the weight of these new autos/dct transmissions. So what he said could be true.

It was a $3500 cash car while I was making an out of state move. There was no way I was going to throw much money at that thing. I did the mach 1 headlights, grille, front spoiler and a set of stagged 10th ae cobras. Drove it like that then sold it for a profit 2 years later. Lol.

DCT is still heavier, unless you have actual data to show that they aren't. At the end of the day, with ALL components added up, the manual setup has always been historically lighter than the equivalent DCT setup. So unless the DCT case in made of CF, I don't ever see that changing. The point was, he admitted manuals are lighter, but claimed having to include a manual setup on the C8 would make it heavier. Care to explain how a structure that is capable of handling a heavier component (even just slightly as per your comment), requires any additional weight, structure or complexity to handle the lighter manual component?
