Wife got me into travelling...
Have been a few places now, East Caribbean cruise (Grand Cayman, Honduras, Cozumel, etc), Cuba, UK twice, Dublin - Ireland, Playa Del Carman - Mexico, Isla Majures - Mexico (favourite place so far) and heading back to the UK and France in August (can't wait).
Wife's family is on Vancouver Island in Canada, so go to Tofino once a year and visit family around Victoria as well. Probably won't go back to Mexico for awhile - but were always treated well. Just stay off the main tourist trap streets where every shop owner is trying to lure you in with drugs...lol
Isla (Mia Reef is an island off the island of Isla Majures - private beach FTW!):

Been to Progresso, Cozumel, Jamaica, Honduras, Beliez, Grand Cayman, and The Bahamas. Cayman is the best, but damn are they expensive, Bahamas are second. Progresso is by far the worst, like a damned war zone with all of the military checkpoints. In the states I've been to Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, and Oklahoma.
US States I've been to are mostly Northern states other than for work - North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Minnesota. Last year crossed a few more to get to the SRK track rental, South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin. Work has had me in Texas mostly. Only ever stopped in San Francisco on a layover flight change, only time in Cali. Oh and Florida for Cruise ship departure/arrival.
Provinces in Canada: BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario
Scotland high on my next list - looking forward to a Distillery tour. Jamaica would be fun also, want to try their food. Cuba's food was terrible.

Yeah, Scotland and Ireland are definitely on the bucket list for me. Jamaica has damned good food. If you go, be wary of driving in the mountains, they will scare the crap out of you. I practically kissed the ground when I arrived safely at my destination.

You're fooling yourself, man. Our so called allies or "friends" are only that because we give out so much money to their governments or they prosper from our economy. Take that away, and most of these countries would turn around and stab us in the back. Just my take as cynical as this may seem.

A lot of the ones there like it and their culture. They are afraid of being Americanized. They have a very unique, laid back lifestyle
