I'm just FBO and street tune. I haven't ran an FBO 392. Just a stock one and a catback one. From a dig both got a little ahead of me but on the top end I pulled past them. From a roll I pulled slowly on them.

Ahh ok I’ve ran a few G8s back in the day with my old 6.1 never had any issues with the gt model the GXP was a rare to find in the wild .

Exactly. Very true, Islander
The 392 would have to make a good amount more power to compensate for the weight difference. Good runs, regardless.

Close to 20whp and torque. Car should make 460-480FBO on E85. Some have seen over 480.

If it was catback it was no faster than stock just louder. Only restriction in the exhaust is the cats. Like the C7Z, the manifold design for the HP is very good. Taking the cats out is the most effective way to add power. 392’s have the same manifold that’s on the hellcats. There is a guy I work out with at the gym that has a Charger Hellcat making 1017whp on the stock manifold. At that power level, High Horse Performance still said the gains weren’t worth the price for headers. HHP is a big vendor in the Mopar community.

Seems like headers are worth next to nothing on all the new cars. On the 6g it’s only like 5hp over cat deletes. Still might as well do them if you going all out imo

larry here wants to hit tens bolt on. He gonna need headers and E85 conversion fir sure. Anxious to see if it can happen. I personally think it can. Can’t wait to see. I guarantee it won’t catch 6gen bolt on times though. We been 10.5 so far without even a converter on stock gears. And I’m gonna be one of them this year.... hopefully

Yeah, you basically have a stock 392 going against a cammed LS3 vette...that's not a surprising result. The 392's don't gain much from an intake and a tune. With FBO's and a cam you might take him down, but you're basically stock. From my experiences in my 2016 Scat Pack which is stock, the 392's are a little faster than most people think, but a cammed vette or any other LS motor car that's cammed is going to be a challenge. I had a cammed 2006 LS2 GTO and I know my Scat is faster, but mostly because the GTO had the crappy 4 speed auto tranny. If it would've had a decent 6 speed auto it probably would've been a different story.

Im gonna try anything 10s I’ll be happy with in the end and yea not gonna run 6th gen times or trap what they do. Will do the ati balancer on this car seems to be good for a decent amount of power gotta get to that max effort build lol .

I’ve heard mix results with tune and intake and isn’t my first 392 . My last one was tuned through hemi fever and honestly didn’t feel much . This car is tuned through jay Greene and it is noticeable he said about 30 hp with tune/intake I yea it feels like it lol . And I plan on trying again with my dragpack and weight out I think I’ll surprise him or hold him off longer with over 300 lbs of weight out with 76lbs being rotational weight 😁

If you do then that will only confirm how bad that cammed c6 was.

Ah I remember getting tunes from Johan, Hemi Fever, and HemiTuner (AJ). I never did feel like I gained much from any of those but that was a lightly modded 5.7 lol.

It runs like furd and as it should. It ran 11.5 being easy on it.....which is way faster than any cobro ive seen with the same pulley combo on pump gas. Hell 2003cobro was over .5 slower with more pulley and a killer chiller.

What did you h/c c6 run?? Ooohhh wait

Ill definitely be sticking with Greene it was much more noticeable than hemi fever and I haven’t even data logged yet lol . I’ve drove a few 5spd 5.7s and man they were slow the newer 8spd is very nice package with that 5.7 though .

I don’t understand why you are still bringing up my C6 that put in work and why you talk about the track so much when you haven’t been in years . Less talk on here and would be able to finish your 4th motor or whatever you are on now 😉

Very slow. It took a 2800 stall, 392 intake mani, cai/catback, and tune to hit a 4.6 0-60, 8.4 1/8th, and 13.1 1/4 all with low trap times. This was in a 5.7 awd weighing as much as a truck about.
