Default victory in defeat

today after lunch while droping a friend off i spotted a gt mustang up the street. ive seen it and heard it before, and its not stock. anyway , on my out he follows me. we catch a light together, but its near a freeway so the next light is 100 feet ahead, so racing was not an option, just a lil playing. i throw some revs and he does the same, i get going to around 10 and open the throttle and let off, he does the same, and then i heard a monsterous blower squeal form under his hood. we go down a few more block where we catch another light, he asks if i want to go for money, i say no, knowing that i prolly wont win. he smiles and i ask him what hes got in it. "fully built motor and a blower." i say nice, he asks if i want to go, i say sure and its on. the light turns and i just lay down the petal he starts pulling on me instantly, we get to about 90 (we have to shut down due to traffic) and im still at his bumper. we go are seperate ways, and he gives me a thumbs up. even tho i lost , im feeling good that i was still at his bumper at almost a quarter mile, and that im mostly stock while hes spent prlly more than 10gs on his car.
i hope soon i can race him again, except this time when its not 100+ degrees outside and we dont both have a passenger.

Nice run. It can still be a fun race even if ya lose and against those odds it was a good run.

Even stock we have some fast cars. I ran modded 96' Cobra that does 12.9 at the track and lost the 2nd run. Still allot of fun

The only thing that sucks is allot of the guys at this site have cars in the 11s or better or at least it seems that way.

I'm with the n2o approach. Spend WAY less money than him and put him down next time. F-bods are the "throttle in a bottle" spokes cars.
