I just bought a 04 Porsche Boxster and it only weighs 2700 compared to 3700 of a fbody, i had sold my ls1 ta which was a 9 sec car

the boxster is fast but by no means as fast but a fbod unless you throw a turbo kit which i will probably do

but i didnt get out of the ls1 thing i also bought a 04 vette convert

 

That's cool. The "problem" is that this porsche clown things he's driving an F1 car instead of a roadster that has a little pep in it's step.

 

 

And I think a coupe fbody is more around the 3350-3450 weight range.

 

We all thought that, but the porche guy is right. I just called my VTec rep, and he told me that the WS6 is "maddd quikker in the quazarter yo...". He told me that a regular Trans Am, unless outfitted with "Very Tall Engine Coolant" system, and a signed engine plaque, would get walked by a Boxter. I told him about this thread, and he said he thinks he knows this particular Boxter in IL. He said there is a Boxter in IL that is running the Gatorade injection system, so we better watch out.

 

No reread the story. We saw him up ahead of us and I caught up. He revved at me and then he went WOT. Looks like I was right. His car was no super awesome fast madtight WS6, but just your everyday ls1 clunker. Listen to clipper he knows whats up. Gaterade? Yeah some of the guys up in here be drinkin that haterade. WS6 is one of the slower ones of the LS1 bunch stock, even though there isn't much difference between them. But please, keep talking. We are getting a great laugh out of you.
