he has ported blower CAI LTs green cats pulleys injectors. a6. i think thats it.

 

Should be fairly close. I'd give you the edge with that A10 though.

 

Just buy a 2 valve Ford. Itll smoke a ls1 with ease…..

...I've raced a Mustang 2V 4.6L and it couldn't beat my 97 Z28 and it had a weaker engine than the LS1.

 

My 2v 02 GT couldnt outrun my buddies stock Lexus IS300. 2v's are pathetically slow.

 

True that! FORD's SOHC 2V V8's are weak.

 

IS300's are mid 15 second cars...Even an NPI is beating that.

 

yea they're sad af. 4v isn't really much better. Same anemic tq curve it just revs farther.

2vs could just barely get my 03 2500hd 6.0 4x4 when it was stock.

 

Yeah I don't see the 4V being anything spectacular either. Had a run in today with an F150 Tremor. I had just finished setting up the preload for my lifters with the new springs and took it for a spin. When the light went green he wanted to go and we went and then he got left. Guess he figured my loud car was just noisy and his 400hp $60,000 truck was fast but it certainly isn't..

 

The 5.4 in my Ford van produces good low end torque. Not a high revving engine, though.

I suspect mine had a non PI intake and something else going on with it. I bought it for $2500 cash and used it as a beater daily driver. It was a reverse sleeper, looked and sounded WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY meaner than it was.

 

Yeah, very possible. My bone stock 96 GT Vert ran 15.8 with 115*F track temps, and that was the slowest mustang I've ever owned.

 

Gross, my 01 Mazda Protege ran 15.8 with a whopping 143whp. lol

 

Yeah, bone stock down to the 4 cats, heavy convertible, and horrible DA made for a horribly slow car. I didn't keep that one for long.

 

friend had a grand am gt. I think it ran in that same range. Maybe 15.6


The 4.sux mustang vert a buddy had went like a 16.1.

 

It's absolutely amazing how GM **** in your vicinity magically runs faster than it should, and the Ford **** magically runs slower. Because Motortrend got a 15.9@88 out of a 99 Grand Am GT, and a 15.1@92 out of a 97 Mustang GT convertible
