EDIT-----duh, I just checked the chevy website, silver is the only other color besides the aformentioned 3

BigBronco already mentioned it, but Speedway White ZO6s where only available in 2001 with 385 HP, 385 ft-lbs of torque, if my memory serves me correctly.

ok guys I got something for you to ponder.............. this is honest to god a true story. Three years ago I had a 99 formula with only a lid, cat back, and ftra. My brother bought a totaly stock red 2001 zo6(385hp). it had 4500 miles on it. after he had it for about 2 weeks i begged to run him. i wanted to know how badly my formula would get beat... we raced from a roll in second gear 3 times on the street to the top of third. i pulled him every time by exactly 1/2 car length at shut down. this really pissed my brother off,so we went to the track. we raced four times and i beat that little red z06 3 out of 4. the one time he beat me was only by 3 one hundreds of a tenth. maybe he couldnt drive? i know and realize that he should of won hands down,so i was down right proud of my car and gloated about it to no end!

That story would be much more descriptive if you posted the times that the two of you ran.

i dont remember the exact numbers, however every race was extremely close. i mean basically every time we ran the quarter the two cars were side by side with hardly any difference in et or mph. i can actually remember making faces at each other as we went down the track...

I buy it.

When I got my first 99 Trans-Am A4, I had my friend drive my 96 A4 Vette, and we raced. My Vette pulled on the TA, and I know for damn sure that my friend wasn't a shitty driver, or being soft on my Vette.

Some cars just come strong. Hell, that T/A stock took down a couple of guys with lids and exhausts.

Without numbers, you both could have run shitty times, so that tells us absolutely nothing. The fact that you were making faces at each other while going down the track points the odds in favor of shitty times.

this was three yrs ago... to my the best of my memory we were both right at 13.1 and 13.2 at 107-109 yes that probably is off for the z06 it was capable of sub 13.0, but i guess my point is that with just a few boltons, i think it was great to be hanging with a stock 385 hp vette, which is very realistic knowing that are cars are underated from gm anyways.

Unless you have an extremely shitty track, a z06 running a 13.2 = either a 90 year old woman behind the wheel, or a z06 with tons of tacks stuck in the tires.

Sounds like Ws6 could drive, and Z06 couldn't.

Wow, first "transambandit" informs us all that a Z06 has an LS1 in it ... and now the doofus from Montana trys to out-do him by saying the Z06 has a 454 in it .... wow, what a bunch of smart guys we have around here.

PS ... there was a 454ci LS6 .... in like 1970 ... it's definately NOT in a z06, however.

You've got a point there. I've only managed to run high 11's in my car, when it can probably bust out some mid 11's on drag radials.

This thread has the most horseshit, uninformed posts that I've read in a VERY long time.
Y'all who don't know your LS1/LS6, C5/Z06 facts should do some research before blurting out more nonsense, as this bullcrap is likely to multiply into further bullcrap quickly and exponentially.

The story can very well be a true LS1 F-bod vs. A4, 2.73 geared C5 race. But a Z06 vs. F-bod race it is not, unless Granpda is at the helm of the Z06, pushing the clutch with his walking stick.

don't knock his story so quickly....it very well could have been a Z06 that was just running on 6 cylinders....
