is it possible to make it mandatory to own a LS1 car before you can post here by any chance. Cause just when I think I have escaped a ricer, BOOM there they are again, in a realm where I thought they would never come. I just want somewhere to call our own. Maybe I will just stop driving , that way when I hear them rev their weed-eater engines everytime I decide to go for I drive, I won't have to get pissed off.

Before I go I would also like to point out that to come on here and bitch about ricers is pretty silly seeing as most rices get flamed to a crisp and never return. A wise man once said, "Think before you post, jackass." And while you have more posts than I(wow, a whole 20-something) I don't think you need to be using any possesive words regarding someone else's site.

The whole point of this message was not to start an argument over whose site this is, the point was to say this: if you have what everyone in the world considers a ricer- don't come to a site "generally" dedicated the LS1 (hints the name ls1tech.com) don't come here and start bashing what we take pride in talking about; don't come here and brag about what your 4 banger can do and how fast it is.

Sure the occaisional flaming and what not of the ricers is fun, but it gets old-happens on the street too much, but now they want to come here. When I refer to "our" site, I am simply emphasizing the fact that this is where I and many other lt1, ls1, f-body and other what not shall I say V-8 enthusiest hang out and share our stories, and in no way am i placing any ownership to the website.

I do agree with you saying it is "silly to gripe about this fact, but that is my opinion and I don't believe being called a Jackass for having such is very mature of you (i am not refering to age or anything of that nature). Sorry for the long post, but I believe in taking a stand and this is it.

Any future comments as to this and other post of mine are more than welcome, but be mature and don't call me a jackass just for having an opinion.

jampearson--I see your point, but people who don't have an LS1 are the very people we need to educate. Who knows, with your knowledge & enthusiasm you might bring an SRT or Ford driver over to our side.

And for those people who are just here to brag or talk trash, there are MORE than enough people here that can send them scurrying back into the underbrush.

Another example: When I first came here, I wasn't sure if the members would even acknowledge my presence due to my Y-body allegiance. However, what I disovered was a group of folks that were quite willing to give me the chance, based upon my actions & willingness to learn. The point is, my attitude is what makes or breaks my online persona, and just because someone doesn't have an LS1 doesn't mean they aren't cool.

Enough of the hostility...I was prob overline to say what I said about velocity, but I just saw a few threads where he said a few too many things I didn't agree with, and then I said some stupid stuff, reading it again, I see everyone's point. I was a lil hypocritacal and see my wrong dooing. But at the same time, I think we could all be more fare and stop thinking everyone makes up bs. Some of the stuff I believe and I don't believe. I did get way too pissy and I should have been more rational and asked him about it before I put in my .02 cents. I appologize. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I can definately respect that.

As for the other thing about the ricers, what yall said was right. I was venting somewhat about the bs we hear from them and again put in a very general statement. I live in a college town and everywhere i go i get revved by a river with his 5" exhaust that makes me want to vomit, then I hear what I see to be bs. Again, that is my opinion and I guess I spoke too loud, so I am sorry for being over zealant about it.

Can't we all just get along--we all share the same interest but with very different viewpoints and opinions.
