I heard this weekend that there is someone around my area with an 03 Cobra and he is on the hunt, trying to track me down. He is completly stock and his best run was a 13.3 at the track. He is looking for me because my license plate says 'CBRA ETR', and it is intising him. My best time has been 12.9's and I am pretty sure I will take him if we run from a dig. If we are going from a roll, where do I have to be wearing about his power band. I can roll from a 25-30mph with no problem. Just thought I would let yall know, and I will keep ya informed as to when the race happens.

Sounds like he's bone stock or can't drive for ****! Most 03's trap from 109-113mph in the 1/4 stock. As to the roll race and his powerband, their is no downside to his powerband as the Eaton works wonders from 2000-6500rpms in the Cobra's. If I were you and you can dead hook from a 25mph roll I would go from there. Keep on your toes as it's gonna come down to driver if he's stock. Also pull any weight out of your car, !spare @ jack, !rear seat etc....

You'll take him if you have decent driving skills. Powershifting is a must or you'll lose valuable mph and he'll walk you...if he can drive. It doesn't sound like he can.

Go from a dig too if he's on stock F1's. Your next best place if from a 20mph roll in first gear. The eaton blower will make gobs of torque there and he'll roast the tires.

yeah, stay away from him wanting to do a 50+ mph roll race...

just make sure you have your A-game on... and if you want... call us, we have some Wet kits laying around

Thanks guys, and I wouldnt even consider this race from a 50 roll. that would defeat the whole purpose. Anyway, I think I am a pretty good driver, as we all do , but I know he cant drive worth **** so I think it will be no contest.

haha thats funny cause i have a cobra around me that keeps reving at me and doing gay little fly bys whenever i see him.....i would race him but everytime i see him theres loads of traffic and/or im about to turn off. cant wait to shut him up

Never EVER race a '03 Cobra from a 50mph roll unless you know you've got him covered power-wise. That is the sweet spot. It hits hard as **** and hooks too.

Fry - Let us know when you win. I'm telling you...go from a 20mph roll and it's curtains for him. He'll suffer a loss most likely from a dig too.

A guy I work with has an 03 Vert Cobra, totally stock, who wants to run. He's not the best driver, but neither am I. I think it would be close, but he would probably win in the end. Let us know how it turns out.

agreed with Unit....my friend had a nice little modded 03....he was just about to slap on a kenny belle, but before he could do that....he got some maintenence **** done at the dealer....the frickin idiots somehow left an allen-wrench in his intake(dont ask why or how)..but that got sucked up, broke all the fins in the supercharger, and blew the motor....smart mechanics huh? annnyways.... ..his car would DOMINATE from a 50 roll....sooo, 50=death......take him from a 20-35ish roll....and you'll GIT R' DUN!

Be careful from a 35mph roll. You don't want to start off too fast. You want to keep him in 1st gear. He's making around 400ft-lbs of torque in 2nd gear at 35mph. That's easily enough to put a few cars lengths on you. He'll have an easier time getting traction at that speed too. Keep him in first gear whether it be from a dig or from a roll. It takes some driving skill starting in first on stock F1's.

Hey Angus, I will run ya man. Where are ya at, we should get together sometime. If I could hit a 1.7 60' then I would be runnin alot faster. But it really takes some skill to get great launches on an M6. BTW, what mods do you have?

EDIT - I just watched your video from Mason Dixon. I think I have seen ya up there once. I havnt been this year yet, but plan on going some time soon. Only thing is I need to borrow my buddies tires (if he lets me) because I get shitty traction with my gforces. October 23 is the next test and tune up there at Mason Dixon. WE should line something up. I will try to get a bunch of ls1 people to come too, maybe make a half assed mustang vs ls1 meet You have run my brother twice up there, it was a while back though. (98 black Z28) BTW, why do you run with you headlight out...you have a shaker man? Does it have to do with you aftermarket intake? PM me.
