not saying this kid beat a bike but you guys make it seem as its not possible i just recently beat a ninja 750 from a dig now granted I was spraying and have A few ::cough:: mods but i also have video.. i don't know how to encode so if theres anyone in the melbourne area LMK I would be more than happy to have you encode it for me so I can post it

I'm not calling b/s or taking sides,but....
I let a friend of mine(who said he could ride) take my bike home for me- i lived close to work and had my SS and the bike at work.
He started pulling kinda hard on the throttle on the way home , i laughed my *** off all the way home. Watching him ride that bike was too damn funny. He shifted at about 6500 rpm and was nothing but a flailing right elbow the whole time.
He was working his *** off and getting NO WHERE FAST.
He gets off the bike and says"Damn those things pull hard",ok it was a ZX6R(600cc) and he thought he was really rippen it up.
Not everyone on a bike has the ability to really race it.

My car is just as fast as my R6. AND ITS PRETTY FAST!! Dude probably just could'nt ride. Don't sweat it though, just keep buying mods if you wanna start racing bikes. My motor would be a good place to start!!

I raced my own car on my R1 and it wasn't even close. I just can't see this happening.

R1 is a 1000CC no? we're talking about a 600CC here and a katana.

Even if the guy couldnt ride he says he raced him from a roll, that takes away most driver error on a bike right there. It's hard as **** to launch a bike well without getting 2 ft of lift but on the highway all you gotta do is downshit and go. Katanas suck *** but your stock car is no match for a bike....unless it's one of these

 

From my limited (compared to the Guru's of LS1tech) knowledge of cars and bikes I'm also going to have to call . A few years ago my brother had an old Honda Interceptor 750. It had like 30,000 miles on it which is a ton for a bike. The first day he had it he raced a Corvette probably 96 or so and beat it pretty bad. You have to have a beast of a car to run with a street bike. You say your car runs mid or high 12's that's what a brand new Z06 runs. Yeah it's possible to beat a bike but I highly doubt it on the info you gave. You said I raced him twice then on the highway j/k. Then later you said you raced him 3 times on the highway and all this other crap. I'm a newbie myself but I didn't come here making up BS stories so I could fit in with everyone. As you can see the Admin and everyone here is damn good at calling people when they are BS ing.

 

R1 is 1000cc and as bad as I smoked my own mid 12 second car a 600 still would have no problem doing it, especially from a roll. My buddy has an older GSXR600 and his bike still goes 10.90's - 11.00's.

 

I cant really make comparisons to racing a car as the only real bike I've ever ridden was the Busa that I had for a while (1300 RR) and nothing on the street can stay with it so I wouldnt know how a 600 would do against a car but I'm gonna stick to my guns and call

Guys Guys Guys.... It could happen. If the guy on the bike was as fat as the gluttany guy from the movie "se7en". I figure if he weighs 500+ Lbs, and he's wearing shorts that are even too big for his fat ***, and the wind catches them and they get pulled back a couple of feet and act as a giant parachute, then yeah, maybe it could happen.

I ran a heavy modded F2 in my stock 98 Z28 and he didnt pull me as bad as I thought(2 cars upto 100), I think with a shitty rider this story may not be

 

The story could easily be true.
Not probable ,but true. Not typical,but true.
I had a GSXR750 pace me on the highway when i was dead stock and the guy kept looking over at me and motioning forward like he wanted to race.
I told my (ex-wife) this is gonna be ugly for me,but watch this thing fly by it should be sweet.

I started to accelerate slowly from about 75-85 mph and the dude got all set and layed down on the tank and matched my speed.
I floored it(A4)and pulled about 2 car lengths on the guy and held it to over 100 mph when i finally had to slow down ,due to getting hit by the (ex-wife).
i was like , then we did the same setup again ,only to have the same results. Me in front by about 1.5-2 car lengths(should not have happened) the guy came back up next to me gave me the thumbs up and rode away.
Terrible rider was the only thing that kept that GSXR750 from totally smokin my stock SS on the highway.

It can and does happen.
