Thats why you shouldnt call on it. The Kantana rider is an inexperienced rider. Has no clue how to launch a bike. Pop a wheelie on himself short shift 1 - 2 gears. Yz 250 will beat a katana out of the hole and probably down the qt mile.

 

You missed one part guy. The bike had exhaust and a Cam, Sprocket, and some other crap. I know about 2 stroke bikes as well. I mean hell, even the camaro driver thought he was gonna get smoked.

 

As a matter of fact, this guy sums it up for me right here. I agree more with him than anybody.

 

Yep, everyone keeps implying it was a stock katana, which is the table where all our "bike experts" are still sitting for some reason. Katana was modified, should have beat the ls1, but obviously lost due to an inexperienced driver. We have cleared this up numerous times, why is this thread still here?

 

Those mods listed gave maybe 5 hp on a katana.

They aren't a factor.

Nothing has been "cleared up" except that a lot of you fools called BS for no reason.

let's see, gears (sprockets, perhaps?), an exhaust and the ever elusive (cause they don't exist) camshaft mod. that's what... 2-3 tenths off the 1/4 on that slow pos.


and, like i said before, you can be a good rider, not an inexperienced one, and not launch a bike as well as the magazine guys. lol... you make it sound like anyone with a few miles under their belt can 60ft a sportbike like ricky gadson. when you post a timeslip of your bad-self ripping a 1.5-1.6 60ft on a sportbike, i'll call you "the man" and then gladly stfu.

 

Oh sorry. I missed the fact some moron modified his katana. I still dont see him launching the bike on the street like somebody who knows what they are doing. That is where that bike would win. Leaving the hole and staying up front. They dont have that normal pull of a real super bike.
