You don't go up to someone at the track who just beat you by a few tenths & say "But I trapped higher than you, so I really won that race!" do you?

I know full well that trap speed indicates power production, but if you can't efficiently apply that power to the ground then to me it's useless until you can.

Yup, and that's the whole point. I have had numerous "arguments" with a buddy of mine who runs a best of 12.4 @ 110 with his A4 WS6 (at a "good" track). My lid/catback SS has gone a best of 13.2 @ 108 (at a "bad" track). When we have raced, we're dead even 60-140. If we raced from a stop, he'd kill me though, but you're not about to tell someone to stop in the middle of the highway to race them. More often than not, your rolling 55-65mph and then you're off.

That's why we're in the Street Racing forum, not the track forum.

Default stock 1/4 mile times for 03-04 cobras

I have an 04 Cobra and ran a 12.9 at 110 bone stock in 80 degree heat. The 03-04 Cobras are definately capable of running high 12's bone stock if you shift at the right rpm. I don't know what a stock Camaro ss would run though. although now I am currently running 451 rwhp and 485 rwtq and have pulled a best of 11.8 at 121 on street tires. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it needs supercharger to get there. You could probably run an 11.8 naturally aspirated in an SS with the right mods.
