It pretty much takes full bolt ons and a 100 shot if your racing one w/ their basic bolt ons....At least thats what it took me.....

You can beat them from a roll right now with the mods you have. I raced my friend's modded 04 and we were dead even up to 120. He's pushing 425 and Iv'e got 385, but I have some weight reduction.

As it turns out, the cobra I ran put 550 to the wheels. I don't feel quite so bad anymore.

550rwhp isn't happening unless there are internal mods along with all bolt ons, a turbo kit, a KB/Whipple, or nitrous...just fyi.

All the bolt ons and a ported blower will put one right around the 500-510rwhp mark.

Unit : You running 275s or 315 DRs? I need to get some cause i cant even get traction in 4th anymore. People keep telling me 315s are a waste because the contact patch is the same, but I think I can just run a lower tire pressure right?

I run 315 Nittos for daily driving. They are much better IMO than a 275. A BFG 315 DR is much wider than a Nitto 315 too. 18psi seems to be great at the track and 26psi on the street for longevity.

hey guy's, It's been a while since I've posted here since I joined the darkside a few month's ago, but I ran a Z06 last night with Cartek heads and cam package with bolt on's of course. The outcome was pretty much dead even until we got to higher speeds 120+ and then the vette would start to slowly creep ahead of me. I beleive this was due to a combination of weight(my cobra is a vert and I weigh about 240) and aerodynamics. His gearing could also have some effect as well as he had 4.10's and mine is still stock.

Thats strange. He should be about the same RWHP with better gearing and way less weight and better aeros?? I would have guessed he'd pull pretty hard.

I got one of the first 03's in the country and my mods were as they came on the market. I have slowly replaced a lot of these mods. I have a ton of money in pulleys, belts and I am about to pull my 3.90 gear back to a 3.55. I ran 4.10's for awhile with the Eaton until I made enough power that I was over-revving crossing the line and dropped to a 3.90. Now with 600 rwhp and the 3.90 gear I can roast the tires in third gear going 60 mph by mashing on the throttle. I wished I had never touched the rear gear. I was going to wait on the KB until next year but I came across a great deal so I couldn't pass. Do the injectors, KB, MAF Extender or SCT Meter and dyno tune at the same time. With a KB or a Whipple you will not be able to change out the injectors on the passenger side without pulling the blower because the inlet is casted into the endhousing of the blower.

If you are going to race and run close to 600 rwhp then you will need a clutch. I have one friend that got one of the first KB's that came out and his clutch wouldn't hold up. My stock clutch will slip in sixth at WOT pulls on the interstate with 600 rwhp. I know when I get it on the track next spring with ET Streets it aint going to hold. I just installed a KB on another friends 03 and we just put a DF Centerforce in it. I think I will put the same clutch in before spring.
