Default 01 ws6 vs a s10 w/350ci in it.

i went out to the street strip last night and while i was there a guy came up and told me a s10 wanted some of my ***.i told him to go back over and tell the driver he might not like what he finds. i've seen the driver a few times and he's always putting on the i'm the bad-est thing around act, arms folded, nose up in the air attitude.this truck has a 350ci ported heads, cam, headers, nos, all the crap. so we agree to run motor only,he claimed his hose was out of the truck. we line up and we come out of the hole pretty even. by the top of 1st i already started pulling on him good. it was ugly for him for he lost by alot of cars(7 ish) and i even gave him the hazzards to rub it in(because he's a *****). later he says he wants to go again and would like the leave,(he's got the hose in i know it) so i say fine and we line up again. my bottle was at 950psi and i was ready to hit it. he gets the leave and he starts pulling on me good, over a car so i hit the hose and get him by 2ish at the end. he starts crying i sprayed him and i went to his truck and saw his nos bottle. i just told him he's sad that his 2,500lbs s10 with a 350ci and nos can't take a 3,700lbs slow ws6. this guy killed my buds STOCK mustang and thought he was king ****,so it was nice to bit*h slap him. mike c.

Way to kick him in the nuts mike.

The pavement is damned cold these days. How in the hell did you hook on the hose? I have to pedal it like it's a bike.

There's quite a few of those S-10's running around here, I haven't had the pleasure of running into one yet. Do you know what his numbers are? I'd kinda like to see what they're putting down compared to my "Sonoma"

i don't know his #'s but my car went 10.9's on a 75shot at the track spinning. i would say he was a little better then mid 11's on his hose. i raced another s10 this year and won by only 1/2 car. they are so damn light, but don't seem to hook as well. if my ws6 was that light i'de be a sec faster. on a 150shot i think i can go 10.6-10.7's,but next year i'll go 10.2-10.3 with the new changes.

The S10's with V8's arent as light as people think. My race weight is right around 3350 with me and 1/4 tank. That is a standard cab short box, no a/c, aluminum heads, glass hood and rear roll pan. Some are pretty light, deffinetly lighter than a f-body. With the times you are runing, I would think you would have a hard time finding a S10 that you COULDN'T beat, especially on the street. You think your traction is bad, try 200 lbs less over the rear axle and leaf springs!

I was kinda wondering where the 2500lbs came from. I weigh over 3400 without me in the damn thing, I'm another 230. Is that 3350 with the stock interior? A 91 Sonoma and a 93 S10 shouldn't be that different, I'm obviously standard cab short bed. Hehehe AWD.

What year was this S10? New or old body style?

Stock interior. But I would think with your AWD you would be at least 200 lbs more than me (t-case, front drive shaft, front axle assembly, misc components). Especially since you also have a body kit. My truck at that time was a stick also, now it is an auto, which added some more lb's. I figure without me in it, plus some extra tools I was carrying, the truck was about 3150.

Ya I forgot how heavy the cladding support brackets were, with the AWD and auto that's about right.

s10's can't be that heavy, can they? the two i've seen have nothing in them,gutted.DAMILLIO-they look like older ones. my car is 3,600 then add my 220lbs in it,i hope to change that with k-member/a-arms,hood,light breaks, things like that. my bud has a s10 all stock,i,ll get him to weight it. MZOOMORA-i dont have traction problems 1.5 60's at the track, its juct the pavemant was sssoooo cold nothing could hook. i do still see where a truck would have some issues with traction.

Quite a few guys have thrown the Syclone engine's into the S10's and they just spin the tires horribly.

A stock 1985 2WD S10 Weighs 2600 lbs...

They got heavier in later years though.

You obviously haven't been to the political forum lately.

That guy luvmez28 is a total religious loon.

If you think that's funny, check out his attempts to convince everyone the bible is fact and is infallible and a perfect account of history

Great job showin him up!
Where in MI are you?
10.9 with a 75 shot is impressive.
What else is going on in the Ws6 of yours?

My buddy had a 86ish(?) 4cyl 2 whl drive S10,and put a 283 in it.
That thing only weighed 3000 lbs with him in it .
Now my SS on the other hand weighs 3600 with me in it. 3000 lbs would be real nice, shoot i could go race Unit then.

Nice list of mods you have there.

I can not say i have heard of your town, but then again i am from Florida .
I don't know that area at all.

Good luck with your mid 10 second goals, sounds like your off to a great start.

I had a chance to pick up a H/C set up ,but the deal fell apart.
Oh well,it will come eventually. Just not right now.

Stage 3 SLP heads and Cam package, would have been real nice combo with the bottle added for pure fun factor.
