Default my SS vs pullied 04 cobra

this race was absolutely unexpected, but in a way i am happy that it did happen. the race was from a 30mph roll with both cars having two people.
i knew the cobra had put down around 460rwhp with mods so i was expecting a sure loss. however, when we both punched it we were neck to neck and i was able to shift a little quicker than him and i was able to put my front bumper ahead without him moving at all. 30mph all the way to 130 without either one of us moving. after we got done with that first one he claimed that i got the jump. wdf? doesnt he have 100rwhp more than i do??? so i agreed to a second race and same thing happen. it seemed that we left exactly at the same time and when i shifted to 3rd, i was able to still put my front bumper ahead without him creeping. took him out both times and he wanted to race me again, but with a friend of his driving his car. wdf? if you cant drive your own car then why go around asking to race? yes, perhaps i would have gotten my *** handed to me if his friend who is known to drive really good would have driven his car, but i guess ill always hand him his *** in his own car when he is behind the wheel.
video will be up soon!!!!!

Nice kills. Driver skills really count when racing. I don't know how he could have lost with that much of a power advantage unless he was lying about his output.

Interesting. I ran 11.29 @ 123mph with only 460rwhp.

Good runs though. We all know that anything can happen on the street.

also, i have never ever ever seen a 03 cobra here in florida run below 12.0. i have seen lots of them at the track and man they claim 460rwhp and still low twelves..i dont know if it is due to the humidity here or what, but nothing.
i will be posting that video really soon so keep checking back in.

unit, if he does have 460rwhp like he says he does, then in which gear should he have reeled me in? 3rd may be? or 4th? i am thinking he should have reeled me in as soon as he hit 2nd gear??

Depends greatly on the tires he was running. His low end torque (~430ft-lbs at 3,000rpm) should've pulled immediately with traction. Without traction, he should've started pulling like a freight train in 3rd.

With stock gearing and the stock rev limiter, assuming shifts at 6500 rpm, the bottom of third gear should be ~78 mph and ~4700 rpm. That does not account for any clutch slippage.

when ever I race my friend in his pullied 04 from a third gear roll, like unit said he pulls like a freight train. my car puts down 354rwhp. before he was pullied he would just edge by me, after pully its not even a race I just let off.
he's got 450/440.
the only thing I can think of is his driving skills are not so good.

There are millions and millions of idiots in this world people. Let's not forget that. I always check myself by thinking of the time I saw a 16yo kid in a Z06 run a 15.0.

School, work. Got lucky and actually got hours.
Good kill here, too.

This week looks bad, not scheduled for any time.
Guess I gotta start slinging my "dork" again.
