I,m surprised your willing to race knowing that you might loose. Most V8 guys wont even consider racing a 4bangger if there is a chance they might get owned and their ego busted.

Im the type of person who respects cars for what they are not who there made by. As far as having my ego busted who cares a win is a win a loss is a loss...jus like my dad still tells me there will always be someone bigger and badder. just bolt ons on a 6 speed formula is wut id have =)...probley wont be enough but well see what happens...

I was speaking in general, but I can,t stand to see guys wanting to street race and then ask if your spaying or what modes do you have. Do you want to race or compare notes, its a street race not a bracket race. Stop making excuses line up or shutup.

There's a punk kid at work, who had a couple of Eclipses. One turbo'd and other just a V6. I smoked the V6 and could walk the GS-T with 16lbs of boost.

Now, he went out and got a new Evo. It's a pretty ugly car, but I don't like 4-doors, and I don't like over-done Hondas, which is what it looks like to me.
Anyway, I blew my head gasket a little while ago on my 94, so my car hasn't been available to run, but I know he's itchin.

Well, the other day, he was really happy to take me for a ride. I must say HOLY SHEET! That 4-banger's fast! It winds up and digs in. It pulls really hard off of the line and the stock suspension really helps you stick. Speaking of suspesion, that thing corners like Automan! (none of you young punks know what I'm talking about)

I'm pretty sure I can walk past him with enough road, but from a dig on a short backroad, expect to get stopped, especially if you can't get traction.

I say go for it. What's the worst? You lose, then he'll under-estimate you, when you get some real mods.

Well if there were 6 and he only pointed out one then he is most likely running very low 12's or possibly 11s. If you can get a set of slicks then slap them on and race him. They are dogs(not from a dig) when they are stock until you throw in some mods.

I agree, I almost bought one. I just couldn't justify how small the family car would of been. So I bought a truck instead. I got to test the first one in Glen Bernie Maryland dealer. Fast car but just a different feel than a rwd vehicle I like them allot but I couldn't justify the 32k.

I'll be down for Christmas and I'll run the Evo for with my current cam for giggles...can't afford $500. Still got the 231/237 waiting in the box though and I'm itching to get it in finally.


FWIW, I raced a bolt on and boosted Evo here at school and stayed at his back bumper from a dig until 140.

i found that most ricers are full of it. i raced an evo a couple of months back in my 72 montecarlo (before the twins turbos) with a n/a 355. He left me out of hole cause of my 1 legger rear end. i got him on the big end and had a 1.5 at the 1320. He said he had a different turbo and computer and fuel mods. Which wasnt the case cause my 72 was a low 13 sec car at 4100lbs. i think a 100 shot and traction will be fine. even if he does have all that crap done he probably cant drive it the right way

I will try to take a few, car is having new tires put on right now, as some ******* in west chester decided to slash 2 of mine along with 8 other vehicles on the same street. Should get her back tomorrow or later today.

Insurance is not bad, like 1400 a year. Needed a car with more room, something that will go in bad weather. Very different car from LS1, I do miss my TA from time to time but I do like my Evo, setup right it is a beast. Turbo kit is going on this spring. Should be good for high 10's @ 127+, guess we will see.
