Default Modded evo wut will i need?

Hey guyz jus curious to know a evo with full bolt on mods and 110 octane...wut will an LS1 need to beat one of these lil 4 bangers from a dig?

guy was talking alot of **** around his evo friends. He said pick a color any color u want...u know the typical evo guys whos "above" everyone....jus curious to know wut il need to take out one thats modded and on 110 octane...any other suggestions?

Hopes and dreams? Hell if I know. I agree with these guys, traction is your biggest issue.

I agree, traction is the biggest problems. Put on some nittos or et tires.

150 shot, lol.

gears for sure, but you shouldn't need them. Make sure to get at least a cai.

Even with traction, he's likely to get a jump on you (if he knows how to drive that thing). Make sure that you race is at least a 1/4 mile long, and add a 100 shot, just to make sure.

some 16"bfg drag radials aired down to 12-16psi, remove front swaybar, exhaust cutout, hidden 100shot(hidden cause he is being an *** and you need to make him look stupid) or non hidden 150shot, ngk tr6 spark plugs, gears would help, your lookin at low 12's w/ those mods but w/ out more info on the evo you might only need tires... find out what he runs at the track... mainly what his trap speed is cause he'll probably beat you to the 60' mark unless he cant drive... your trap speed should be around 115...

be careful i have seen some of those things run 11's with a good tuning alone and as bad *** as the f-body platform is going up against an 11 second runner with AWD from a dig will be a bitch so i say as you have already heard make sure is 1/4 mile long get ( i would say the 150) shot and cross your fingers and hope for the best... but hell i know someone who runs a 3k converter by TCI and a 150 i think if not 125 NX shot and runs high 11's low 12's on that alone good luck either way

I say full bolt-ons, DR, nice cam, small shot but watch the rear end...you'll probably blow something going from a dig. Just get a good feathered launch and race to 140. He probably run out of boost before then.

I think I should chime in here. I don't have all the bolt-ons yet intake manifold, Etc. On 110 octane he can raise his boost up to 25 pds. Let me know what kind of mods he is running and I can tell you exactly what to expect.

I have seen a turbo upgrade and fuel with minor bolt ons like exhaust and the normal stuff run a 11.90 so good luck with that!

you said it a turbo upgrade! that makes a big difference! this guy most likely doesnt have that done, most evo's i have seen are stock, very few of them around here actually turn up the boost or anything! but if he has turned up the boost; there are two routes that you can go. the first being just through on some nitrous, or you can build your motor with the basic bolt ons and possibly a cam! either way i think you will hand him his ***

I have seen some evos putting down 400-500 awhp so be careful...if he has any kind of worthwhile mods i think you are going to need a hefty shot to take him. Especially with the awd and the lighter weight.

he said the car has every bolt on mod plus race gas so its far from stock. also who knows if the guy is pulling his chain. Turbo upgrade for those cars isnt that hard to do and is really inexpensive.

Also with every bolt on plus race gas if the guy isnt scared to launch his car he will easily run 12.30s and a stock ls1 takes more than $400 dollars to get that point.

Bottle and tunning cost about $700 if you buy the bottle used from a trust worthy person.

If he's running 110 octane, he's got a reason for it. You're gonna get walked. Especially from a dig.

Guy was with his evo buddies about 6 of them....he said the "red one"(in a cocky attitude)is the modded one on 110 octane that will run ANYONE for 500 bucks. He wouldnt say mods(im sure hes heavily modified) but as they was leaving he punched it all the way till about 3rd gear and this damn thing jus took off i couldnt believe it. Im only guessing he has full bolt ons with the supporting 110 octane....im not gonna race for any kind of money but il try and convience him to run for ***** and giggles....if he runs my friends 98 formula with ported heads, cam, headers, 3:73's, LS6 intake,6 speed, all suspension mods on 315's DR's....then hes obviously low 12 high 11....i got another friend with a full bolt on pullied cobra that traps 118+ well c wut happens then.....either way hes gonna go down....wish us luck

Check out my times and sig, they are on a fully stock turbo, no porting or compressor wheel(look out for that sneaky mod). I ran a full bolt on Ls1 with this setup and flat smoked him, he was running 12.2's all night , planning on a new turbo kit this spring. Should push 525 awhp and 475-500 awtq on race fuel. Should be good for high tens @ 130 . If he has all the boltons he is a low 12 high 11 sec car. 125 shot would help but you may be in a bit over your head.
