Raced one last night with pretty surprising results. He said that his only mod was software, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. I think he works at a local BMW dealership. We hit it a couple of times from a 5-10 roll and I would pull him pretty bad before we had to let off. Then he tried a 45 roll or so with 3 honks, but I must not have heard his honks right because I hit it and he didn't. I let off, then he hit it, then I chased and he actually pulled on me just a little bit in his 3rd gear.

I think I would murder him from a dig though. My best time is a 12.9 @ 104.5, by the way.

**** that's pretty fast, i didnt know m3's were in the 13 second range :O. Food for thought!

 

The new M3s do low 13s stock. It takes amazing driving skills to bring it into the 12s stock, but its been done before. If he ran a 12.89 in his M3, he's either a damn good driver, or he has a good amount of stuff done...either way nice kill!

 

It didn't sound like he made the 1-2 shift very fast... and he said that his only mod was software. He didn't elaborate any more than that though.

 

so he has a tune on it. Hmmm, he's probably doing the basic bolt ons, cai, mas.

Was the exhaust factory?
