Default turbo integra bit the dust

ok so here's the story....

My buddy and I are just leaving Quick Trip (mid-west gas station) He is driving his 2000 Mustang Gt (slightly modded: Long tube headers, h-pipe, shocks&struts, and cold-air kit). I am driving my camaro (refer to sig for my mods. I am almost bone stock) I pull out first with him trailing me by 50 yds or so. I am paying no attention to him since I am trying to enjoy the hotdog i just purchased. I am going about 30mph.

Next thing i know I see headlights right up behind me. It is my buddy coming up on me hard with an integra right next to him. He hits the brake since i am still going the speed limit, and the integra proceed to advance to me. I gun it, get a first gear drop, and the integra which has never once let off the gas, comes up next to me, but NEVER gets ahead of me. I pull past him, and then after already pulling nearly 4 car lengths on him by the time i hit 100 I get infront of him to advoid a car.

We come to a stop sign and he pulls next to me, rev's the engine (this is when I realize that he is turboed, and I flck off the traction control, and roast em' through the intersection, just to show the integra, that an LS1 aint no joke.

Funny thing, is that from a roll my bud's urgraded mustang wasnt beating the integra much, but me from a roll, when the integra was already going well over 60, kicked serious ***.

Thats one more win for me, and one more notch of respect for every LS1 owner out there!

Stupid integras are gonna need more than a few psi to keep up with 346 cubes of all american muscle!

They actually need high teens+ psi to give us a run.

Congrats on the kill.

That Integra driver must have had a bad tune or low psi because Ive seen my friends Integra which has all the bolt ons including suspension, clutch, and flywheel beat Camaros with intake and exhaust.

What the hell if your problem?

Im just saying I have a hard time with the story I would have thought it would have put up more of a fight.

Sorry if I said something wrong but no one can be open to a fast import.

no there are plenty of fast imports.. i just dont see any reason to doubt this guys story..

btw ive outran a integra gsr or whatever its called, and he had boost, a ported head, and cam or cams he said cant remember and dunno much about them.. ive also ran them with "aftermarket motors, spray, and 4inch fart cans.." unless there really built and i mean built, i dont see them hanging with a ls1.. just my .02. on a side note tho there is a supra around here that no domestic car ect yas yet to touch, puts down about 831rwhp...

One guy replys in comment to your comment and you automatically assume noone on here is open to a "fast import"? I've ran my share of tegras in my day it takes alot to make an integra fast. Is there some reason everyone decides to come to this forum to talk trash when someone else gets a GOOD kill? Key in on the good kill part. If one didn't respect the other car it wouldn't be a "good" kill now would it? That is unless the other driver was a jerkoff and deserved it then it could be titled "good". Lets hear some details on your friends races with all these camaros better yet get us some videos. Videos are always fun. Originally when I started coming to this forum it was mustang owners and import owners that came in to doubt the kills. Now it's the people that drive 3L domestics who's cousins uncle drove an integra that was "fast". I'm not going to hate on the 3L I originally drove a 3.8L when I first started lurking here. At that time I didn't know the difference between an ls1 and l98. Who's to say your friends tegra even raced ls1s and not an older lt1, l98, or even a 3.8L camaro. If you knew what the car was he raced you would've said z28 or SS but you didn't. Which leads me to assume you wouldn't know a formula from a v6 bird if you saw one in person. No hate just sayin you better have proof your buddy beat a ls1 camaro before you doubt this guys kill a turbo integra.

it was turbo. It was LOUD (as many ricers are) and I pwn'd it. It may have been fast, I dunno, but what matters is that it wasnt fast enough. I just like beating integras, cause they always think they are fast! just like WRX's they think they are fast no matter what. Ill be more than willing to praise an import that beats me one on one, and I guarantee i prolly will have to do that someday, but for now, me and my baby (my camaro -Naomi-) are gonna cruise the streets with confidence, and skill.

AND I am gonna do my damnedest to pick off one by one every fart can tottin import i can find!

Doesn't surprise me much about the 'stang. GT's are slow unless they have a blower on them. Stock for stock a Mach1 is about as fast as a stock LS1, and a Cobra is about as fast as a Z06 vette.

I was actually talking to my friend tonight about how a few years ago I almost bought a GT 'stang. This was before I knew a little something about domestic cars and he just got his 99 WS6. Anyway, I eventually got an LS1 and I'm really glad that I did.

Good kill on the import... I like racing them because they have alot of heart... feels better when you crush them.

They are not that bad really. There's a guy here with a bolt on turbo kit on his Acura RSX Type S and he raced a stock WS6 and start pulling him slowly in 4th gear. I think he runs at around 9-10psi. Last year, there was another quick local 97 Integra Type R - fully built and boosted that was trapping in the 120-121mph range. Presently, there's also another fully built Type R (boosted also) that pulls stock ZO6's like crazy (yet to see a track time on this one) so all in all, be careful. Some are quick.

Most are slow though. Nice kill.

I raced a Teg pushing 20psi when I had 390rwhp. We ran even from 50-110mph. It happens.
