My .02....I think the new nsx are pretty good out of the box, dont they contend with vipers pretty well? but nobody buys those, they only buy the old 91's which suck.

its all in fun guys.. everyone loves there cars and feels the need to defend them and the reason they bought it... obviously the s2000 is no power house, but if you have never driven one then you can't really understand what its all about...again though anything can be fast with enough money.... i personally like it, but i needed power raw which is why i bought my Z06.

I would bet $$$ that Bottlefed5.0 would hand those s2k's there ***'s in the 1/4. Insomniak on this site use to own one of those s2k's and my 96 LT1 TA would rape it back in the day(roll or dig). My LS1 TA now rapes my Old TA. Unless you have tons of $$$ to build a S2k motor for Turbo or SC, your just living on borrowed time, that also goes for the rearend which loves to snap and your all so super gearbox which also likes to tank when extra power is added. Instead of building a 400rwhp s2k it would be smarter to go buy a vette and slap a blower on it and have over 500rwhp for far less money. remember we have something Honda's dont----TORQUE

Well, like I always say, when 4 bangers start running at least 15's ( that's not a typo... 15's ) in the 1/4 using an auto gear box and ONE gear shift ( auto trans and 4 banger now theres a concept
heh heh ) and with 2:73 rear gears then I'll be impressed. 
I guess you will be needing a little MORE REDLINE! LOL

ok i'll say this.. a stock s2000 perfectly driven can pull a 13.9@ around 100mph
a supercharged s2000 can run a 13.0@ about 108 w/ a pefect driver
a turbo s2000 can run a 12.7-12.8.. w/ a good driver..
all those are assuming they didn't dump $6k on a built bottom end.
and another 6k on a built rearend from Kazz
what a waste of $.. i realized it wasn't a straightline car after the motor popped on a lil 50 shot.
even the turbo s2000 w/ a stock bottom end will not be close to a viper. assuming the viper owner isn't corky romano shifting w/ epelleptic fits.
i raced a 325rwhp turbo s2000 when i had 335rwhp in the z28 that i sold.. from a highway roll which should of been to his advantage.. he only got 1/2 car.
he also ran 12.9@108 at the track w/ a hard launch.

he popped his motor about 4 or 5 times. not kidding. he had the built motor when i ran him.. i think that stayed together.. they should be able to make 400rwhp w/ that built block but he couldn't yet cause of injectors and pump i think.

my modded s2000 is by no means fast.... but its fun to beat up other kids with... and then when a sti or evo or whatever thinks he big ****, i go home and pull out the z06.
my s2k made 265hp and 220lbs with intake exhaust and a 50 shot. i've had absolutely no probs. running nitrous but that doesn't mean i never will... the s2k is what it is and i understand that... i'll never try to get 300 400 500 hp out of it.
