I usually see quite a few Stock LT1s up at our Drag Strip running around 14.1 to 14.5. I blame most of it on the weather conditions and track. A guy with a 95 or 96 (can't remember) Forumla was up there one time. He was all stock except he added a Cold Air Intake. he ran a 14.5X at around 95.XX mph.

The biggest problem is traction.

With all he has listed there he's very capable of running high 12's, but low 13's should be easy for the GTP all day long.

My vote is don't waste your time on a GTP and go for the BIG DOGS.... "LSx"

nitrous is fun. (I wanna spray my car) but don't go spend $1k on a full nitrous kit with all the bells and whistles just to shut up a guy whos talking smack. take that $1k and put exhaust, CAI, and headers on ur car. that would be a lot smarter of an expense and more fun to drive around daily than the nitrous. because u cant really spray a 150 shot after taking off from a streetlight. just my .02 though

N20 is fun and effective. Keep in mind, a street tired car runing from a stoplight-stoplight (600ft) dig will most likely not have traction enough to spray the car. Speaking from experience, my kit is useless until the car is in 3rd gear. All that extra torque can go up in smoke real quick. Roll racing is different, that's when the bottle is a killer.

I don't know what GTP's you guys are running into, but my LT1 has minimal bolt-ons and has easily dusted a GTP just like that twice in the last month. I guess the guy's been reading this forum and thought my LT1 would be easy pickin's...

His car's got power, but it's still very heavy and has no decent way to put that power down.

with those mods if you get them when you race you MIGHT beat him if you have a good tune too.
