Porsche Carrera 4???
I ran up on a Porsche Carrera 4 on some quieter roads tonight, and goated him into playing around a little. No major pulls, but I stayed with him on the couple of jaunts we had until he put his blinker on a made a hard right onto another street. Anybody ran one of these? Would I have had a chance?

The roads were still a little damp from the weather we had here last week, so I couldn't hook well at all from a roll, but he got off pretty well. As soon as I did get traction, I was reeling him in. We never started from a stop, and like I said, it was only a minutes worth of short runs.

And the one the first post is talking about is probably a Carrera 4s. I'm pretty sure they are non-turbo AWD. They are fast, but it depends entirely on your mods. I think they are high 12 cars.

Turns out there is a Carrera 4, and a Carrera 4s as well. I thought there was only the 4s... Shows what I know. But the GT3 is still Z06 territory.

i have raced 2 s4's. both from a roll though. one was from about 25 mph up to 90 or so and the other was from 50'ish to about 140. i pulled em both times... the second race was with about 100 lbs of junk in my car, but he did have his s/o in the car. both were before the new mods listed.

The Regular 911 is faster than the more expensive AWD Carrera 4 as it doesn't have the extra weight pulling it down. The non-Turbo Non-GT3/2 911's are more or less in the same leauge as a Corvette LS1 in terms fo straight line Acceleration. I've seen some as slow as high 13s.
FWIW I beat a 1999 911 Carrera in my Trans Am when it was bone stock. Met the guy some time later and in the course of our conversation it came out he was the guy I raced. Funny that. Now had thee road gone Curvey I think thats when the 911 really shines.
