I just read on a local drag racing website that John Jett has called out a gold nova that they call Goldrush! Now, this nova is no joke, i have personally seen him run 9's all the time at the local dragstrip. Also, everyone was saying not to accept the challenge cuz John's just a *** or whatnot but the nova has accepted his challenge and told John to bring some cash along with him too!!! We'll see where it goes from here...

LMAO, that kid is a tool. A 9 second 03/4 cobra on the street (even if it has solid rear) is not going to hook like a car that's set up for drag racing.

I think this John character is just trying to make another big fuss as usual, but hey what do i know. you never know though, maybe he's serious this time or just really stupid for picking on a 9 sec. nova.

off topic, I saw the most hilarious thing today, msn carpoint (or was it edmunds? bah whichever) has the ls1 trans am running a 14.4 quartermile at 104 mph, with a zero-sixty of 6.1 seconds. I'm not sure how I could possibly run a 14.4 quartermile in my car without purposely driving into the waterbox and then spinning as long as possible. Seriously, if the car you're testing spins tires for the first 4 seconds, maybe you should try a second run? As for the 0-60... maybe they had the seat too far back and couldn't press the pedal all the way down?
