I had to be a dickhead...
I was cruising at 85 mph early one morning when what I assume what was a drunk individual starting following VERY close, probably less than two feet back. I tapped the brakes and this really seemed to enrage him. He then whipped into the right lane and I thought he would finally just pass. At the last second he swerved hard to the left and clipped the front of my car. I was completely filled with rage, I've never been that mad, mad enough to kill at the moment. I managed to calm down though thinking about a similar incident when a driver was shot and killed just days before here in Houston. I ended up just chasing down the license plate backing off and reporting to the police and insurance companies. My insuance covered it under uninsured motorist. Who knows what happened to the *******, he'll get his one day though when he does something similar to a driver who is carrying a weapon....
Years ago, I had this 3/4 Suburban with a howitzer hitch (bought it from the USMC) and a 454 in it. I was coming home from work at 4AM with the Ithaca on the dash when I happen upon my buddy in his marked security unit with some ******** tailgating him. I rolled up on their bumper like 6" away and they moved over. I went back to the right and they jumped on my back bumper. I let them sit there for a minute and did a brake check, which planted that hitch through their grill. They got pissed and came flying up to jump in front to do the brake check to me. I simply floored it and pushed them at 90 or so for a bit. I dropped back and they moved right, hit the brakes and tried to get even with me while one of them stuck a little chrome POS out the window. I let them line up and laid the Ithaca out the passenger window for them. Needless to say, they made an exit at a non-exit ramp to the feeder. Just another Houston commute.

.At least someone understands.
Tailgating is really crazy ... I had a friend die at age 28 when he lost control after driving too close in the rain and attempting to avoid impact when the person stopped in front of him.
i ride the left on the interstate sometimes here when there is no traffic, but thats mainly because the right lane has bad rough spots that will shake the car. unit was justified, the other guy could of easily gone around, there is no need to taligate that close. i do like flooring it and leaving them

I bumped it up to 90mph from 80mph in a 70 zone. Apparently that wasn't good enough for him, but he still felt like riding my *** was the best route. So I ended my phone call, dumped it in 4th, waved buh-bye to him
and stabbed it.
I threw a quick football field on him then eased over to hit my exit. I tossed him the bird as he rolled by.
That's not usually my style. However, in this case, I believe he had it coming.

Yesterday (3rd day with the SS back on the road after a 3 month down period) a blue-body kit Civic Si filled my rear view mirror on the left lane of I-95 for a good mile or two. I opened my new dual electric cutouts, threw a rev and the guy quickly backed off.
The look on his face was priceless.

Brilliant.
I would've gladly pulled over to discuss the matter with him if he would've liked.

You sure about that? Please link the Michigan State law that mentions that. What? You can't find it? Maybe that's because it doesn't exist.
Well it's something that myself and a lot of other people worldwide know about. Just because it's not written in Michigan state law doesn't mean it should be completely foreign to you. Also, I find it interesting how you can quote the law to support your point but then turn around and claim that your speed was safe! (see below)

It is "theoretical" to both parties as you don't know what he has under the hood and vis-a-versa.

120mph is no big deal since I am in control of my own vehicle and it can easily handle that speed. As a matter of fact, that's no where near what I'd even trap. I can't predict what a dumbass in a grocery getter is going to do at 90mph.
So you're saying that there was nobody else on the road? If there was somebody and you "can't predict what a dumbass in a grocery getter is going to do at 90mph", then how can you say that is was safe.

Traction problems huh? Yeah...that can be a bitch in a 15 second vehicle.
Hello? No weight over rear wheels Einstein! Since I'm driving a truck, yeah, traction can be a bitch. The truck is used to carry my bikes and I think that the times are reasonable for the added weight over your car. Putting down my ride because you can't figure out the basic rules of the road speaks volumes about you. I guess it just goes to show that anyone can have the money to buy a fast car, just not have the brains to drive them.
