Thumbs up Cannabalism

Went to the spot and much to my surprise, a pullied '03 vert shows up looking for fun. After hanging out and yakking it seems he has a 2.8, MAC CAI, CL 95mm MAF and Catback with a box tune. Unfortunately for him, he was also on F1's. We lined up and went with me launching @ 3K after a good heat. I got a little hop, feather till she hooked and laid it down. By the end of the 1/4 I had 6-7 cars on him. Needless to say, he's getting some DR's for the toy.

Nice run. F1's with ~460rwhp just doesn't cut it. You taught him that lesson quickly.

You have this in your sig:

With Mods 466.9 RWHP 456.2 RWTQ pegging the MAF @ 6000 RPM.
Why? A pegged MAF doesn't limit hp production. It's easy to tune around it. Just curious...

Good kill. I also had to live with the fact of not having traction when I brought the 18in rims. I wish the mickey thompson came in 18s.

I hasven't figured out how to tune around it yet cause it happens in different places. I'm pretty close to the edge @ 11.9:1 on my tune and when it pegs, it dumps fuel, spiking my A/F to 10.2:1 or richer. Since it occurs at dif RPM's it's hard to set a tune to ignore it. I'm just gonna have to pony up the funds for an SCT MAF. I Dyno'd it again and made 456 / 475 SAE with the MAF pegging at 5800 this time. That was where the HP peaked and then it was up and down afterwards along with the A/F.

That's priority number 1. I was thinking the BFG's. Any opinon of which works better?

Dont worry if you run them on the road for long they wont make it till the 1st rain.... They are really really soft. My friend ran his down to nothing in a month... Not much driving either.

I checked their web site and they didn't offer anything in 18's. Damn I was really hoping they did. Well I guess I will have to go with the BFG's after all.
