I've punished my share of FWD turbo'd cars on the makeshift 1/4 miles in my area ($$$) because of the same facts you are arguing here 2500-2900LBS 300-400FWHP on a DR (on the street) doesn't come close to track times with slicks.
My last experience with a SRT4:
SRT4 upgraded turbo and NOS (12.3s on slicks at track)
I was running (12.5s at track)
We ran with him on a ET street DR .... I put 4 cars on him at the local makeshift 1/4 mile.
I always show up on radials ready to play, I don't run a DR or slick I enjoy the fact that anything can happen on radials ..... But I do offer a advantage to the lesser (FWD) by running a DR
BTW robino I have plenty of time at the track ........But enjoy the benes ($$$) of local makeshift 1/4s.......would you like a DEMO

Hi all. We have had some good races so far this year. (TheBandit, and I) but it seems the 2 roll races I got him in where left out of this thread for some reason. I got him from a dig lastnight also. ( he did give me the hit but he said himself the gap stayed the same the whole way down the road.
Thebandit and I get along just fine and are friends, I'm sure this is not the last time these cars will run one another.
My car has come out on slicks on the street to whoop on a blown Lt1 last year, so is it a 12.2 car then? I agree to a point about not beating a 12.2 car when I'm on DR's but it's not going to slow me down a second either.

You did get me from the roll that night. But what about our 3rd from a roll race? where I was out on you by a bit, but you stopped because "Your exhaust is too loud it hurt my ears!"

Saturday night I raced an 11.70 @ 120mph cobra. Needless to say he got me, oh well I guess you win some and loose some. IT was a lot closer than I thought it would be for the mild cammed ls1. I am really looking forward to getting some times for the fireturd this weekend when milan opens up.

Should be a good time. I'm looking for 11's for sure now. New slicks are here, and found a boost leak! Get that straight and it should really run. I may have to get me a rematch if it comes to life with the latest tune.
