This site cracks me up. Everytime i turn-around somebody has a post about thier mustang. Well fu(k, isn't this an LS1 site? I think the LS1s are putting the smack down on a lot of mustangs. Its not miracle really, mustangs just suck.

Thats funny that mustangs suck, considering this weekend at RCR The Clash Of The Titans, they were beating the **** out of the Chevy's and GM's.. Dan Millen 7.17 @ 198 Mustang GT Turbo...Thats a world record thank you very much, and thats on 10.5 slicks....

And he still has full interior and A/C...So don't assume that all Mustangs suck, cause there are alot out there, that will beat the **** out of some Chevy's....BTW, this is ChrisG...

REGARDING 03 COBRAS: Who cares if they're fast...they are supercharged. If GM had put a supercharger on an LS1 they'd be looking at more like 480 hp. Also, every cobra guy thinks he's the big dog b/c they think the camaro bowed in 02 losing the power battle... What about an 02 ZL1 w/ the C5R 427? the 427 is a little stronger than that ford junk----- 600HP, NO POWER ADDER! what a concept.

The fact is, Ford produced a powerful Cobra and it runs well w/o modifications. When modified, they clearly perform even better. There's already been low 11's and even mid 10's posted from 03 Cobras. Not bad for a car that's only been aroud 5 months. What's even better is, the engines are still 100% stock beneath the valve covers. So let's not knock it with "what if's" because the facts is, that doesn't get too far. "What if," isn't what IS... amazing how 1 letter changes everything.

Anyway, compare them though we will, we really should keep the one-sided ideas out of it. Besides, that keeps people from reminding others that the Z/28 has a much larger engine, is allot lighter, and so forth. There's much more to the equasion btw, than you're considering when it comes to adding a s/c, even a low boost version like the Eaton. They're supercharged....let it go. At least it's a truly powerful American car, few of which are produced anymore, while being even close to affordable.

Who gives a **** if they have a blower on them. They are nice rides. If you cant run with them then start modding your car to run with them.

It doesn't have anything to do with my car or my mods at all... To me, being somebody who loves cars, I just think that a power adder is like a the difference between the guy that works his ***** off every day to get stronger and the guy with the small ***** that takes steroids who acts tough but used to be a scrawny little geek in high school. I really wasn't trying to offend anybody with that post, but that is my general feeling on cars that come from the factory with power adders. Don't get me wrong, though, I'll still like a car that has a blower, but only if it'd be fast without it. <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" />

I'm pretty damned sure it doesn't have the A/C. I'll ask him. It does have a full interior though. It's not fair to drag this car into the conversation though. 2,000 rwhp is a whole 'nother ballgame. It's not even the same sport...

Hmmmmmm....Would it be fair to compare Unlimited Performance's 95 GTS though? It's tagged and all. It's only making 1906fwhp too! <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Back when it was supercharged and raced in "Wild Street," it only ran a best of 8.25 in the 1/4 mile so.... Whataya think? Oh, it has NO A/C !!! It does still have the full interior (weighs 3350w/o driver) and p/w & d/l's too. It didn't come with a stereo though. Anyway, it's a pretty stout Mustang. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I'll ask him when he gets back from the PRI show. He told me his raceweight a long time ago. I don't recall for sure, but I believe he said it's 3,300 with him in the car and he's 230lbs. There's not a whole lot on that car that's stock. It's pure racecar. I'll email him this thread. Maybe he'll register and chime in here since I'm not 100% sure about this stuff either.

You guys are arguing a really dumb point. For the years the F-Body was made, Mustangs have been unable to keep up (STOCK FOR STOCK, DO NOT QUOTE BUILT UP RACE CARS) this is a fact. If you don't like it, don't read it. The bottom line is, the 03 Cobra stock is faster than ANYONE'S stock LS1. This is also a fact, if you don't like it, don't read it. Some of you guys whine about it coming supercharged from the factory, what about GTPs? Are they cheating too? One more thing, for thsoe of you who beat these things with LS1's, great work, keep modding and enjoy driving, for those of you who like to bash others because they "insult" your dream car by beating it, f**k off, don't you have to go make your bed or something?

You should do a little research before you post claims like this, especially since you're new to the board. AND, it's a FACT that stock LS1's have beaten stock '03 Cobras. I've seen many only run low 13's on tires at the track. There are plenty of stock LS1's that run low 13's and some in the high 12's stock. I'm not knocking '03 Cobras at all. They are truly a badass car.

Stock cobra puts down anywhere from 340-370hp and torque to the ground. I have never ever ever ever seen a stock LS1 do that. If a stock LS1 beats a new cobra, then the guy in the cobra really needs to bone up on his driving.

I will admit however that there are some badass drivers out there. However, stock for stock with drivers of equal skill the Cobra will pull everytime. Sucks for me but it's true.
